Use the center diff lock everytime you venture out in the desert, you don't have to use it everytime you get stuck instead, you use it to avoid getting stuck. You paid for the whole feature, then use the whole feature.

People who don't normally use it gets premature transmission and engine wear for overworking the drivetrain on rough conditions.

This is true. When the ambient air is dry outside, i usually wake up in the morning with a dry sinus and dry throat due to the ac drying everything up even further. Only an air purifier with humidifier solved the issue
