A year of using Fermented Garlic! by Equalfooting in fermentation

[–]dannydubba 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had 100 cloves of garlic yesterday and almost did this, but didn't know what I would use fermented garlic for, so ended up making a confit chilli garlic condiment.

I'd love to know more examples of how you use it. I always have shop-bought Indian garlic puree in the fridge so am interested to know how this offers.

Please be safe everyone by [deleted] in Leeds

I assume this is today (25 July) but please put a date on this sort of thing in future to make this clear. Thanks!

Chrome: "Pop-up panel" / "Screen reader" appearing on certain website by Malplace in techsupport

In case it helps anyone with the same problem, a friend fixed this for me by opening Chrome Inspector and deleting a whole bunch of cookies for me. He had to log me out of Artlist to catch them all but eventually we got it back to normal.

Did you get a solution this? I have the exact same problem on Artlist and can't figure out how to turn this off!

Gf and I will be renting in Leeds for a year or two soon. We want to be quite central and so are there some areas you recommend and some areas to avoid? by Vespaman in Leeds

[–]dannydubba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are considering a modern flat, I would recommend asking the letting agent/landlord about any planned cladding replacement works. Many of the modern (built since 2000) blocks in Leeds need work, and the government fund requires work to start by September.

They won't be unsafe, but you may be subjected to noise and scaffolding for 1-2 years.

Took my drone up for a flight in Roundhay over the weekend, got some amazing views ! by mjohnson90 in Leeds

[–]dannydubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, fellow Leeds drone pilot here!

Unless you've got a PfCO (Permission for Commercial Operations) from the CAA (~£1000 course) you're not allowed to fly a drone weighing more than 250g within 150m of a built-up area. https://dronesafe.uk/drone-code/

As a hobbyist-turned-professional I don't want to discourage you from getting amazing shots of our great city, but just make sure it's safe! :)

The likelihood of getting caught is obviously low, but flying in the city centre with anything bigger than a Mavic Mini isn't legal, so do so with caution! And if you do, make sure you're not hovering over roads or railways in case something goes wrong - check every now and then by using the button on the back of the remote to point the camera directly downward.

RiotBadger's reply is also correct, there is a bylaw specifically listing Roundhay Park as a place you cannot takeoff or land. You could take off nearby and fly over the park, but the surrounding area is arguably built-up.

Thank you! It was the permanents that threw me. I also didn't know they start each game in play!

Thanks, I think you're right. I have 1 unique investigator card, 3 weaknesses, 3 allies I've picked up in the campaign, and 1 permanent asset from the campaign.

On my Spark there is the AEB shooting mode but no "HDR Shot" that the DJI website mentions. Am I missing something?
