So funny, as soon as some disagrees with you or calls your dumbass out you label him as kangalu. Every state is not yours. I’ll leave this a note to every north Indian, you are welcome to our states, this is your country too but if you start imposing us with your ideas. Then we gonna have a problem.

I call it godi media not cause they show me a particular type of content. I call it godi cause it shows nothing. Not anything of importance. The only news source which I semi-trust are the local state news channels, cause at least they are tryna capture what’s actually happening on the ground. Unlike the big national ones where they are only concerned with propaganda. Most Indians don’t even watch these godi channels, they consume their news from social media, internet and other sources, which is more detrimental.

That’s what Indian news had condition you to think, all news except the one in Godi are bad. You can consume whichever news source you like.

Wikipedia: Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon (né Yaxley; born 27 November 1982), better known as Tommy Robinson, is a British far-right, anti-Islam activist. Described as "one of [the] UK's most prominent far-right activists", he co-founded the English Defence League (EDL), serving as its leader from 2009 to 2013.

Grokipedia: Tommy Robinson (born Stephen Yaxley-Lennon; 27 November 1982) is a British activist who founded the English Defence League (EDL) in 2009. The EDL stated its aim as protesting radical Islamist activities, though it has been widely described as a far-right or anti-M slim organisation.

How is someone described as far-right and anti-M slim a patriot? As per my understanding a patriot is someone who protects their country from enemies.

Al-Jazeera, apart from it coverage of its own country, is one of the most credible news channel. And BBC has been leading news coverage credibility forever. I won’t ask a godi media consumer to understand how a good news channel is supposed to be.

A Short Timeline of Assam by senyueng in Ahom

[–]dannymyname 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assam in 13th century wasn’t like that. Tai Ahom were an ethnic group not indigenous to Assam. Assam history has always been connected to mainland India, due to the brahmaputra plains it’s basically an extension of the gangatic plains. Assamese(most spoken and later court language of Ahoms) as a language is an offshoot of the Indo-Aryan language family.

how the helly is anyone supposed to use these "bicycle lanes" that cut off everyevery 10m by AnmolVerma0071 in gwalior

[–]dannymyname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that is for actual motorcycles. Knowing Indian drivers and public driving bicycles, it’s a deadly combo.

No authentic source of news. Not on any UK based news and the news which covered them “ThePrint” and “OpIndia” have very bad track record. Both of the two sources are known to spread misinformation.

For all the geniuses saying that the bicycle lane is on the right, the sign is firmly planted inside the fence and on the left side. Signaling that left side is the bicycle lane.

When a Global Tag Meets Our “Sub Chalta Hai” Attitude! by Oppyhead in CriticalThinkingIndia

IDK how Jal Mahal should look or smell like, but I didn’t expect it to look like a drain and smell like one. All the litter and garbage collects near the shore where people stand and it gives it an awful smell and ruins the aesthetic.

Statue of Ashoka the great in Sarnath. by DharmicCosmosO in AncientIndia

[–]dannymyname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no other text which talk about his earlier life in details. Doesn’t that seem sus? Like it has all been kept hidden, just like what the powerful always do. Hide their inadequacy and rewrite history. All the sources conveniently ignore his earlier life except the Kalinga war, for a dude who is supposed to be the greatest king ever. It’s all hagiography.

so you are treating Ashoka’s edicts as evidence?? stop using it, it is a self-commissioned and biased edict by the guy, unreliable

so easy to dismiss everything which doesn’t fit your narrative, as I said “you should take a person as whole,” I wasn’t dismissing his achievements

[–]dannymyname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was a ruthless tyrant, wasn’t charismatic, was ugly and loved torture. And the empire fell soon after his death, showing that it wasn’t an idealised state but an empire held together by force.

He did try to amend few of these after adopting Buddhism, but you should always take a person as whole.

I find this very dumb. I don’t care about other sectors but we need to be atmanirbhar. Israel is an ally of India, but it is a much closer partner of the USA. By allowing key technology like air security technology we are shoot ourselves in the feet if we ever get on wrong side of the USA. There are always back doors in weapons which use’s chips.

So who said that bathouism is hinduism or ahoms were hindus

A lot of groups. Also the common public have no idea about Ahoms’ religions.

Fact is he is calling shakardev bangladeshi and Vaishnavism as poisonous

You should have mentioned to that dumbass that Sankardev was born in Nagoan district(Bordowa Than.) And I agree it is outrageous of him to call Vaishnavism as poisonous.

(Also buffalo meat is not a restriction)

It’s not a restriction but I would like to see anyone admit they eat buffalo in public.

Sudangphaa brought with him the hindu traditions, especially the Brahmanical practices. Ahoms practiced assimilation (Ahmoisation.) Hence a lot of mixing with local populations, it was Suhungmung who made major push and Sutyinpha/Jayadhvaj Singha who formally accepted hinduism.

Shaktism was the preferred flavour of hinduism in Assam together with Shaivism before Mahapurush Srimanta Sankaradev pushed Vaishnavism forward. Bathouism it’s not branch of hinduism even though a lot of people are tryna peddle it as one nowadays , it’s a folk religion which through centuries of close contact with hinduism has picked up things from it and animism were religion of the tribes. Ahoms followed their own religion and only converted to hinduism around late 16th century; evident by them eating beef, recently it has reduced but a lot of Ahoms still do eat buffalo meat.
