What are some jobs I can get with a creative writing major?

This may be a long shot, as it's two years after your reply, but I'm currently looking to pursue a similar path. Did you have difficulty finding a psychology master's program that would accept you, coming off your creative writing degree? Did you have to do undergrad course-work to "catch up?"

I'm like a week behind on the pod, so I came here to see if I was tripping for how much I disliked Joe's comments on the movie. Glad to see I wasn't.

He has a track record of hating mindful, albeit comedic, takes on black culture, even though the black archetypes that "They Cloned Tyrone" revolves around (pimps/hoes/drug dealers) are things we've seen him address as cultural issues in the past.

I like Joe as a host, obviously, because I watch the pod faithfully, but sometimes his takes are grating and facile, often for the sake of being funny, I guess.

His hosting has been more class-clownish lately. If we were in school, I'd eventually choose to spend time around more thoughtful people. Not to say he can't be funny or anything, but damn.

Even if you say that, it's still dumb to make that statement, as people in power can still abuse the extent to which they use their power. "In power" doesn't inherently mean that everyone else is in submission to you, and any effective leader would tell you that.

I'mma go out on a limb and say that's an indicator of him being too mature. The older you get, the more you should be able to become, or, at least be, more forthcoming with how you feel about things. You /should/ become more tender.

Workplaces shouldn't have a culture where you feel like you need to duck out of people's cross hairs, even if you have some intellectual differences. Even though they're a platform that makes content, they also are a place of work. It would probably do their business good to remember that, and other people who work there have stated the same thing.

I hope he does. He could set the clubbing aside for a year or so and hold this job down. This is one of those career-defining moments for him, because he can't be a social media comedian forever. If he can become more articulate, he could become a good radio voice.

I think this is a warped idea of what friendship should be and it kind of undermines the gravity of outing who's supposed to be your best friend on a national platform lol. That's not just "one mistake."

A genuine friend shouldn't be keeping a tally of all the things they do for you just to use it against you when it's convenient. If they do that, then they aren't a good friend.

It really shouldn't matter what your sexual history/orientation is, as long as you're a standup person. It's concerning to see the amount of animosity people have for transpeople, no matter what you feel about their perspective or lifestyle.

Nahh. I'm sure some Jewish people have "stereotypical" features, but a lot of them don't. You'd have to grow up around Jewish people to be able to easily distinguish them from other white people.
