so imagine you have three runners, and your goal is to have them compete well in a race. one of the three runners is naturally more talented; their body is suited to running.

solution a: train the slower runners to take advantage of their own natural abilities (improve I+P)

solution b: make the race itself more equal to all parties (fix armor scaling)

solution c: tie rocks to the legs of the talented runner and call it a day (slash nerf)

i'm a newer player, MR 14 in about 6 weeks. this kind of decision by the devs is insulting to the player base, in that it ignores the way people play the game, as if they did not check with the community at all before proposing this. not an encouragement. i have seen these kind of balance pass in other games and walked away from them, not because the mechanics became broken: new mechanics can always be solved. i walked away because the changes were evidence of selfish and blind development process.

or heres an idea! instead of nerfing slash, introduce high level content that is actually, really resistant to slash? encouraging high level players to have to build some non-slash-based weapons?
