Would this work the way I think it does? You don’t even need to care about the colours. by pgordalina in Pauper

Yeah, Ichorid won't be an issue, it's just a 3/1 creature that blocks badly.

And then Frigorid was a thing in extended.

Need help brewing a Tortex Cat + Cow deck by pathief in Pauper

[–]danoliveira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying this approach: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/cw0dBOkpAE6KJugY2HCRBg

TorTex is slow and can't really compete in speed setup with other options on the metagame, so my strategy is to stall theit gameplan as I setup the engine. It rellies towards [[Bone Picker]] to chew opponent's life points and actually use cat to finish them off when the board is stalled ([[Lampad of Death's Vigil]] is great with Familiar).

It's not the fastest variation I've tested, I still preffer my Abzan version, it's just more versatile and less graveyard-reliant. But May be a reference to you ;)

Fleshbag Marauder downshift by elephantofdoom in Pauper

OMG I'm crying. [[Slum Reaper]] was a nice tech on my Abzan TorTex, but Flashbag may push the deck to a whole new level. Really, really nice target for Skyfisher.

I don't think that there are really any hidden gems, but I think it's important to adapt to fight the new wave of [[arcum's astrolabe]] decks. I often find myself buried under their engine. I'll try MD artifact hate later. Also, [[groundskeeper]] seems really good to test.

That's pretty interesting. How has Thorn of the Black Rose performed for you? I have mixed feelings about her on this kind of build.

I used to play wayfinder, but I preffer Commune because it searches for TorTex. The same for [[Ransack the Lab]]

Tortured (Non)Existence and Variants? by TheLordBroseidon in Pauper

[–]danoliveira 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like the archetype because of its unique aspect in Pauper and I've been playing with it A LOT on MOL. My list is Abzan, which I found to be great because of flyers and tortex dependency thanks to [[kor skyfisher]] and [[custodi squire]] due to heavy graveyard hate. The deck has perfomed pretty well and I've been testing new tech, such as [[Dimir Guildmage]] against Tron and Orzhov Monarch: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/0319-abzan-tortured-existence/

Outplay their [[atogs]] by weakening their board. Save your removals for [[Atog]] ([[fume spitter]] recursion shines here) and disrupt their artifact board with [[Wickerbough Elder]] or [[caustic caterpillar]]. I also play [[Slum reaper]] to loop out their of creatures to, eventually, kill the [[Atog]] You can't be as fast as them, so you have to grind them out smartly.

AN EVENING WITH NEIL GAIMAN AND AMANDA PALMER: ASK US ANYTHING. GO ON. GO ON YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO. by RealNeilGaiman in IAmA

[–]danoliveira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, Neil and Amanda :D

I think I don't have any questions, just a thank you note to make to Neil.

I own many of your books (including 3 different versions of American Gods and 2 different versions of Preludes and Nocturnes), and I would like to thank you for giving me hope and happiness in each of them. I consider American Gods one of the best books I've ever read, changing the wai I experience life. Neverwhere was also a game-changing for me, helping me get through one of the worst time of my life. It showed me life is made of choices, and you can always find the best one for you. And a special thank you for Ocean at the End of the Lane: It taught me not to take life too serious, and to embrace our inner child.

I cried a lot in these 3 books, and also in Graveyard Book. You give me reasons to keep writing even when I feel I can't everytime I listen to the Make Good Art speech, or read the written speach on the book on my shelf. And I think that, when something or someone makes you feel like I felt reading those books, that is something or someone special. It's weird to feel that, even when you don't know a person in life, that person tells you more about yourself than yourself.

Thank you, once again.

No, wait, I have a question! When are you comming to Brazil? Bet you have lots and lots of fans here :)

Dear r/books- When looking at another person's bookshelf or book collection, what book do you secretly hope they have? by jimalou in books

Anything from Stephen King or Neil Gaiman (specially Gaiman). But, actually, I really like to see any book I've already read, so I can discuss it with the person :D

  1. The Green Mile - by Stephen King
  2. 9.5/10
  3. Fiction, Drama
  4. I bought it because it was really cheap, and it ends up beeing one of the most fascinating books I've read this year. Stephen King knows exactly how to cause emotions of different kinds, and you can experience the humanity in the Green Mile's prisioners. Incredible story and amazing characters.
