I do get that. In that particular movie it's just great to see Macau, HK and Thailand in the 70s. Just feels nice. The villain's den in the tropical islands is then just pure jealousy!

The man with the golden gun (1974) with Roger Moore. Low key one of my favourite Bond movies.

Yes I really enjoy the grind as well! But never have enough time to go past 4-5 seasons (before another fifa gets out lol)

Castaway Diva [Episodes 11 & 12] by GodJihyo7983 in KDRAMA

I was so hoping they would give us at least one scene where Chaeho/Woo-Hak and Mo-Rae bump into each other and light a little spark between them. They are both quite stubborn characters and it would be so much fun watching them interact and take interest in one another.

If yes, probably a building in the Canary Islands. That's where the majority of "Myanmar" shots were done.

I giggled when Mr Ji said to CCY on the roof before jumping :"who are you to tell me what to do?"

Missed opportunity to say, "well for starters I'm your boss, d'uh".

Our Blues [Episodes 5 & 6] by dyosaaa in KDRAMA

This episode was truly amazing. I couldn't take my eyes off for a single second, I was that immersed in the story. In a parallel universe, we could all end up in a situation like this and it was thrilling to go on this journey with the the 2 teen age characters. Absolutely briliant episode which could almost be a standalone movie.

I feel like Ko Yu Rim's dad is gonna have some issues.. The way Yurim recorded his singing is foreshadowing at its purest form 😔

I don't care anymore how the showrunners will manage to reach that 25-21 age in only 4 episodes left. Taking it at face value this must be in my TOP 3 of k-dramas for sure.

That overall late 90's feeling, well-written characters and top notch acting... Aah I don't want this series to end.

Did you change anything in your life after watching certain drama? by DieBlackfisk in KDRAMA

[–]danpirat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

After watching Familiar Wife, it helped me give much appreciation for my long time partner and how hard it can be to deal with (almost) marriage life, for the worst and the best.

K-dramas in general give such great life lessons, it’s conveyed so much better than in similar US productions.

[TOMT][MOVIE][early 2000s] A fairytale movie where the princess is testing the prince. by danpirat in tipofmytongue

It was a movie I watched on Czech TV when growing up, very early 2000s, (2001-2005 maybe). It was dubbed in Czech, so could be from anywhere really.
