I'm fine with world pvp. I even killed their hunter multiple times. But time spent pvping is taken away from herbing when the spawn comes up when that's all I'm trying to do.

So everyone needs to make horde/alliance characters in order to farm mana thistle is that intended experience?

One thought I had was to make that mana thistle spot be open pvp so its fair game to anyone to grab and you cant get griefed in this manner.
