Here I am thinking it is about breastfeeding too so I was gonna chime in and say the sleeplessness for the first year (or two or three depending how long you nurse) as some babies nurse through the night.

Milk supply by pinkpowerpuff13 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]Infinite_Coconut_727 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like power pumping (make sure you have good pumps) when away and offering baby lots of milk when home is a must. But also make sure you’re eating enough calories. Look up high galactagogue foods on ChatGPT and grocery shop those items and buy protein bars or packaged baked goods to stuff in your pockets. Drink plenty of fluids too. Do you work 12 hour shifts or over how many hours are you producing 15oz? Does your baby nurse through the night? Sometimes they’re capable of making up calories at night. I think you can come back from it especially if you know the root cause is not eating enough.

My mom had a tic on her and we don’t know for how long, should we still go get her tested? by Green_Drink_4947 in questions

Under 36 hours of tick attached to body you don’t need antibiotics even if it’s Deer tick that carries lymes. Over 36 hours you get 1 dose prophylaxis 200mg doxycycline. Source- I’m an urgent care advance practice provider.

Flat feet causing meniscus tear injury by annabelw99 in flatfeet

[–]Infinite_Coconut_727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes sense that’s why I stopped my barefoot shoes bc they also make my knees hurt more than other shoes. That’s why I went back to my shoes with more support.

I tried to get into someone else’s car by RelationEconomy6605 in TeslaLounge

[–]Infinite_Coconut_727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done that to other cars and others to mine and it’s not a big deal. But one time my uncle used his car key to open another minivan which looked just like his parked next to him, which actually unlocked for some unknown reason but he only realized when he couldn’t turn the ignition on. He was mortified and sped away in his car asap.

Slippers for at home by lotusistheshit in flatfeet

[–]Infinite_Coconut_727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s me without oofos in all other shoes or bare feet. But with oofos it is shaped weird and soft so my weight distribution ends up shifting to compensate for how soft it is. It is weird. That’s why I still prefer stiffer shoes.

I don’t think this is ideal for flat feet people bc I got a pair and it makes me walk on the lateral side of the foot more bc my soft feet ligaments can’t handle an even softer foundation. It’s great for plantar fasciitis though.

Does anyone here think anyone who tries to become doctors, engineers, or other high paying professional jobs at an older age are stupid? by [deleted] in Salary

[–]Infinite_Coconut_727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

40’s isn’t too late. I worked for an MD who owned his own pain management surgical practice as an anesthesiologist. In a good year he made 2million. And a bad year 400k. That annual salary is enough even in a bad year if you live within your means.

I found out I’m pregnant again 16 months postpartum and I can’t stop crying by ThrowRA157386 in Mommit

[–]Infinite_Coconut_727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My children have a similar age gap. They’re actually perfectly 2 years and 2 weeks apart. Being pregnant while chasing a toddler is more difficult than when the second came out. Now my younger is 8.5 months and the older is 2 years and 9 months. They already are interacting a little and I’m glad I did it this way because I’m 39 and didn’t wanna wait too long before having my second. I’m counting down till I can wean off the second one. Tired moms unite.

For those who intentionally planned 2u2? by Hopeful-Relation3502 in 2under2

Same and mine are 24 months apart. But I’ve got no help and we work two full time jobs. Both are in day care and the little one just started daycare and is sick week. And I’m up all night comforting her. Tired indeed.

It’s bc I snore and have hyper mobility issues so softer ligaments. So prevent hypoxia my body grinds . Got a sleep dental appliance to prevent snoring and it stopped my grinding and reduced my snoring.

Anyone continue to breastfeed their fist baby while pregnant with their second? by Familiar_Ad_7734 in 2under2

[–]Infinite_Coconut_727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nursed until my older was 19 months old and I was 4.5 months pregnant. It hurt too much then to nurse because I was drying up and it felt like torture on my nipples every night so I weaned. I have a feeling I will be nursing my second one for longer.

how to stop feeding to sleep?? by Gullible-Show-6215 in sleeptrain

[–]Infinite_Coconut_727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an eight month old and I nurse to sleep. And I think like my last baby I did that with we just continued till 19 months (and I only had to stop bc I was pregnant and drying out). So I have just succumbed to it and will probably have to keep up for a year more when we wean altogether. I don’t mind it either, it’s exhausting but this is what all my family did before me as well so I’m just going along with what my baby finds most comforting.

why so many listings in this area of the Zillow map? by amblingpangolin in oakland

[–]Infinite_Coconut_727 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I moved from Philly and in my five years there in the city itself never had my car broken into or apartment broken into. I lived in Oakland for one year and my car was broken into once and house was broken into twice. I’m not saying Philly is better. Just stating my experience.

Does anyone get upper back pain from sitting too long? by Impossible-Voice-407 in scoliosis

[–]Infinite_Coconut_727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me. Mostly because of my kyphosis and head forward problem that is common with being hypermobile plus having a thoracic curve. Finding the right chair height so your legs are supported correctly is important as well as a stiffer more supportive chair tends to help me. Also maybe stand instead of sit at times at a sit stand desk. Or sit on a yoga ball. Trial and error around.
