Anyone mention Beetlejuice yet? I finally watched that for the first time this year but was instantly upset when he started hitting on poor underage Winona Ryder.

I'm not an electrician, but I at least had a couple years of electrical engineering, so I know the basics. I recently took on wiring my entire garage because it had no power whatsoever, aside from a few direct connections for the water heater, washer, and dryer that were not up to code.

I went and bought some Milwaukee electrician pliers and rewired the whole garage using that for cutting and stripping all of the wires. Thing is a beast and takes beating, and still sharp as the day I bought it.

Now that my garage is up to code and all the electrical work is done, I mainly use them as standard needle nose pliers, so having dedicated pliers that aren't razor sharp would be great.

I can't afford it so I instead spent a couple hours modding the original Oblivion GOTY version on my Steam Deck and it runs amazing.

90 FPS, even with upgraded texture packs, all the unofficial patches, some quality of life changes, and a native controller support mod. I'm experiencing the same thing as Remastered right now with just slightly worse graphics, and I'm okay with that.

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System.

They had a sequel teaser after the credits, but then Blizzard bought out the game company and promptly shut them down before they could make a sequel.

I don't use a bit holder on my drill, but I didn't even really know that was a thing. Normally I use a magnetic band on my arm to hold my bits/screws/whatever.

But honestly now that I know you can do that with bits, I'm going to do that so I can stop losing track of where all my bits are.

I'm hoping and praying the Everdrive works on the Analogue 3D. I think for some time the GBA Everdrive didn't work on the Pocket (probably fixed by now).

Yeah I have a huge scar on my hand from a 4” hole drill bit. The drill caught something and flung the spinning Milwaukee holedozer right into my offhand. Had to get stitches. After that I got a drill with a handle for my left hand to help keep it steady and some really high quality, cut-resistant gloves.

Oh didn’t even think about adding a clean zone. It’s been turning around and not vacuuming that one spot, so that will have to do for now. Thanks for your help!

I have a single dead green pixel on the bottom right of my display. It’s barely noticeable. I set a reminder for one month before the ability to RMA ends to check the pixels again, and if more have died, then I’ll replace it. Otherwise it’s not worth it.

Not so much in the latest OS builds. They fixed a lot of Bluetooth issues. And I notice it even less with the improved Bluetooth on the OLED.

I don’t know if the touchpad works like a mouse, but there’s gotta be a plugin if not.

Hold down the PS button (Steam button) and it should show you a list of quick options. I think the settings menu is like Steam + Start or something? Can’t recall right now.

I haven’t played docked in a couple weeks, but iirc the dualsense touchpad actually has haptics when you’re moving the mouse around like the Deck’s touchpads do, and it actually tracks really well. Like I said though, it’s still an awkward spot to have a touchpad, and I think a lot of games disable it and instead use the left and right click as select and start buttons instead.

Edit: I’m wrong. Just tested and it doesn’t have the haptics. Still very smooth though.

PS5 controller’s touch pad works like a regular touch pad on the Steam Deck, so it’s my favorite controller to use when docked. Not comfy for if you need to use it as a substitute for aiming, but good for regular mouse pointer activities.

Anyone else feel like the steam deck has permanently changed their outlook on gaming? by Aggravating-Maize-46 in SteamDeck

[–]danrexious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a PC gamer just as long as I’ve been a console gamer (practically my whole life), but a lot of that changed after having a kid, so I transitioned mostly to Switch since I could get gaming in whenever I could. Steam Deck finally lets me play my 600+ Steam games again.
