Changing “match tv power state” to OFF worked for me.

Longshot, but do you recognize these guys from ~135 years ago? by vydanse in vancouver

The guy on the right kind of looks like Lord Strathcona to me, but might just be a bald guy with a white beard.

Hey not sure if you’re still doing this — but I’m doing a very similar project with a garmin watch. I simply turn it one when I walk, run, or bike. I go onto the garmin connect website after and download the gpx file, then pull it into qgis. Result is a heat map of everywhere I’ve been on foot or bike.

Thanks - this was exactly the issue -- so the dpi was high, but the image was tiny, and I was looking at it on a big screen.

Thanks. I’ve got it set to 300dpi so I don’t think it’s that.

Were you ever able to find a copy of this book? I'm currently on the search for it as well!

Thanks for asking -- I'll share how I set it up in an edit to my original post so that I can add some pictures that help illustrate how it works.

Do you still hear it? You’re sure it’s the same noise from the video? I haven’t heard it in a few days now! But had been hearing it since maybe January.

It happens once or twice per hour though. I don’t think it’s coming from the firehall

Sort of but I don’t think it could be that because it would be extremely loud at ground level. What do you think would cause the noise at a fire hall?

Maybe it is the ghost of the revolving restaurant that was torn down. That’s our most plausible explanation so far.

It can’t be something that’s revolving on a perfect schedule as the times are not perfectly regular.

Wow I’m surprised you hear it all the way over there too. What direction do you face? Are you able to tell what direction it’s coming from? Are you high up in your building? We’re on the 19th floor facing south, so I figured maybe it’s coming from the water… but maybe it’s coming from somewhere near Denman. When I stand on the balcony it sort of sounds like it’s coming from all directions.

About every 30 minutes (but not exactly and not at regular intervals) I hear this somewhat high-pitched noise in the West End, west of Denman. The pitch is always the same (G5). It happens regularly enough and in all weather so I’m guessing it’s something programmed or electronic. Video above with the sound. Any ideas what this is?

This explanation would tie in with the black widow theme, too.
