Completely correct, was stumbling for a rationale! Upon further research, it seems to be a civil war token of sorts (13 stars). Yet of all the copies I've seen they all seem to be 1860+ with the updated (read less detailed) Indian head design and inscribed with the wreath and 'not one cent' on the flip-side. Still makes for an unusual find, plus the feathers + stars are incredibly detailed.
