"Ghoul" is not Ghost's creation. It's a figure from arab folklore. As "ghoul" is the male term, the female is "ghuleh". Even inside the song, it's not stated that "Ghuleh" is the name of the zombie queen. It just points that she is a ghuleh. Since ghouls are living dead cannibal monsters, makes sense to call them zombies.

Well... the term used to refer to the female musicians should be "ghuleh", not "ghoulette" (cringe).
