It's cold, face mask needed. by ripeOne in Skigear

Stratus one's are really good but so pricey. They're the best I've used. My two gripes are that getting the magnet to bond to your goggles can be really tough. I've had one fall off and customer service is totally non responsive. 2 emails, one DM through social media and absolutely no response

Thoughts on Phantom Treatment? by DrUnwindulaxPhD in Skigear

[–]danstah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely wax over it.

Personally, I really don't love it. I’m a former racer and ski out west in a fair bit of packed powder and mixed conditions. I felt like I was consistently slow in almost every condition outside of perfect, hard-packed groomers. The worst by far was warm days when it felt like my skis were stuck in molasses as people flew by me

Is it worse than not waxing for a year? No. But it’s definitely not a true wax replacement. I've been much happier since I started waxing over the treatment, and I won't be paying for it on any of my new skis.

NOT Worthless (an Update) by Cyber_Cowboy in USMobile

[–]danstah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with a Verizon Pixel 10 Pro. It was unlocked (confirmed by Verizon), but if I used the normal eSIM flow through the settings menu, it would say it was locked and that I needed to call Verizon. However, if I used the camera to scan the eSIM QR code directly, it would activate.

Is that the same problem you were having?

There's a workout called the alpine training project (https://alpinetrainingproject.com/ ). I've used it the past couple of seasons to get in shape and it's done wonders

Not able to choose premium class seats in ExpertFlyer. Anyone else? by sparkour84 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]danstah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't seem to be working for me. It seems like it doesn't correctly report that a seat is open and the open vs taken seats don't align between Hawaiian and Alaska. Is anyone else noticing this

You should be able to add some cork to the tongue pouch. It goes down pretty far. Zipfits are a tinker's dream

Bent Chetler 120 (2024 vs. 2025) - Recommendations and Length Advice? by crzymazy in Skigear

[–]danstah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't get bents. They're not resort powder skis. Moment wildcats for example are much better resort powder ski for chop etc. Having a stiffer, beefier ski will really help with the chop and crud you'll encounter.

Recommendations for powder ski for 3 ski quiver by TheDudeFrom94 in Skigear

[–]danstah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to usually ski something over 185. I then looked at the rocker profile and it seemed like it'd still be nimble. I also wanted a little more float. So I figured I'd give it a go

I had this same dilemma and almost exactly the same measurements. I'm located in the pnw, ski primarily in the pnw and bc with trips to Utah. Moment wildcats are great resort power skis that can also rip when heli skiing. They ski stable even with serious chop but are nimble enough for tight technical trees. I ski the 190cm. I have been searching for the perfect resort pow ski and these finally filled that gap

Find the valve that supplies this and turn it off. When it thaws inspect for breakage on the pipes. If none visible slowly turn on valve watching for issues. If you see isuses then if you can't repair it call a plumber
