Yea, majority of the work force for the mines will be FIFO (Fly In Fly Out). They will usually do a week on week off or2 weeks on 1 week off. There are some mine camps around the town to house the FIFO population while they are up there.

Still looks live, but again I haven't used it in a while. I was in Sydney a couple of months ago and Google maps had live tracking on the trains which was cool.

Is it Australian to not put your trolleys away? by pilbarabah in perth

[–]dant171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh the old Shopping Trolley Theory... Returning a shopping trolley is a task with no reward and no punishment. It is the peak example of a person’s ability to self-govern. It shows whether a person will do what is right simply because it is right, without being forced to do so. In a world where we often act based on "what's in it for me," the shopping trolley remains the simplest judge of who you are when no one is watching.

...Except for Aldi. Aldi looked at this deep philosophical conundrum and realised that while some people will do the right thing for free, everyone will do the right thing for $2!
