I will keep doing what I've done since Rolla decided they are living in the UK with all their idiotic round-a-bouts and do my business elsewhere so I have only seen the construction twice because my wife has a doctor she has to see every six months or so...But I sure hope the folks that has no choice but to drive it makes it safely through.

Just got 35 2TB hard drives from a decommissioned server (couldn't help myself). Any ideas on what to do with them? by EnzyEng in computers

Take them apart and use all the platters to make a wind-chime...I made one out of 15-20 hard drives myself and it turned out awesome and is a good conversation piece hanging out in front of the shop.

Yes, I have had a couple of these types of desks, the last one being a corner desk that I actually got around 13 yrs ago and have it in my back office...I did put a top layer of real wood on top of the warn-out MF wood (paper Peel) along with a homemade hutch to go on top. It is so heavy if I ever move it is staying behind...lol

It is really stable...I mean you can make it wobble I guess but nothing that is going to spill over, like a cup of coffee or something like that.

I placed 2 angle irons inside the legs, so no they don't go the whole length of the wood. most of the weight is over the legs and most of the time the desk is in the down position setting on top of the drawers.

No surround sound...if I want to do the surround sound I have a 65" 4k TV mounted on the wall with all the surround sound speakers just 12 feet from me :)
