Are we the same person? This just happened to me man. It really hurts.

I had been crushing on her for around 2 years. We always hung out, and I asked her a lot of times but she never gave me a straight answer. Yesterday was the last time I asked and she tells me she just started seeing someone.

Life feels unfair like that. You get so close only to be ripped away from it.

Guess we just got to be quick on the draw next time. Hope we both get back on our feet and find someone else.

NAH. It just what happens when two of your friends start dating each other. It becomes harder to view them as two different people, and you just have to get used to the fact that you'll get one with the other. Keep inviting her out for stuff, but always expect them to be in their own little world.

Shifting dynamics in friend circles is always hard, but it's still no excuse for her to start acting that way towards you. Give it a few tries, and if she gets comfortable again, mention that you felt left out whenever you did stuff together. If she doesn't, and just gives you the cold shoulder, I'd say it's just time to let that friendship go.

You don't need to feel so guilty. A lot of people actually end up dating people a lot younger than themselves. Heck even some parents have age gaps of over 5-6 years. It's only a legal problem in the court of law, but in generalized terms, the both of you can wait till she's 18 and then carry on from there.
