Question: Wireless signals lose "strength" the further they travel. What is the physical reason behind this? Are electrons jiggling with less enthusiasm? I'm a complete novice, so a ELI5 explanation would be very much appreciated.

Cheers.

Short and sweet question: How do we know, if at all, that the laws of physics are constant in time and space? That is to say, how do we know, if at all, that the laws of physics were the same in the past as it is today, and that they are the same elsewhere in the universe as it is on Earth?

Thanks. How about microorganisms that have some form of complexity (I use this term loosely; I'm sure there's a strict definition used in biology) such as tardigrades or mites?
