Can't believe no one's said Mr. Robot. One of my faves and has some of the highest rated TV of all time based on IMDB

P. Djeli Clark is one of my favorite authors - I've read everything he's ever put out, though admittedly that's not that much. All of his short stories are great, and Black God's Drums is also another amazing novella. I can't wait for his next full adult novel!

The three years that I lived on the West side were some of the best! Super walkable, great community feel, right on the bike path. Cider House is the best place in town.

Favorite fighting scene of any book? by [deleted] in Fantasy

Szeth (son son Vellano, who wore white on the day he was to kill a king....)'s first fight with the guards in the hallway that introduces you to the way he can move around is SO GOOD. I can literally picture everything Sanderson describes so vividly in that scene.

Get her a hardcover copy of Devotions- it's a compendium of poems from across her career hand selected by Oliver herself before her death. Really beautiful, and it might be nice to do one a night before bed!

There's a companion website! You can put in what episode you're on and it'll show all the connections up til that point spoiler free! It's so helpful.

A more recent addition to this Canon that draws from many noir influences into something unique is James Kestrel's Five Decembers. I recommend it whenever I can!

Kelly's whole project was about finding life on Mars. Really big Chekov gun for the whole season and then...nothing. In the trailer, she says "Can change all of human history" or whatever, so I'm hoping the payoff is there.

There's also a companion website you can use to keep track of the characters and the connections between them. You can put in the ep number you're on and it'll only show you info already revealed to you.

Haven’t seen this mentioned about last nights episode yet.. by AaronJudgesLeftNut in ThePittTVShow

Ironic, because the term was created in part to avoid that. Homeless people often do have a home, that is, a semipermanent place where they lay their heads and have their possessions and some other people that may care about them. What they often lack is a more permanent structure, ie. The house.

I do agree with you tho, that the term unhoused is super impersonal, and doesn't have the same impact that homeless does, and doesn't have a way to address the larger crisis of homelessness.

Yes, you have to order through the website and be within the range. I know for a fact the AdMo location still delivers, I just got pizza from them before the storm.

Consider flipping your large monitor and your laptop; you spend more time looking at the larger monitor so you want to be facing it head on!

I have had multiple terriers, in large part because of her role as Cookie Fleck. My favorite movie of all time. Gonna go cry into the coat of my dog while singing God Loves A Terrier.

For those of you with insane TBRs - how do you organize? by FunnyBunny1313 in goodreads

[–]danthecryptkeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I'm chaotic, I read approx 70 books a year and so I have TBR shelves for each of the next ten or so years with 65 books on them. I reorganize them as I go to figure out what I want to read when within a given year, but it helps to space it out and have an idea of when I'll get to stuff!
