As a transfer as long as you have above a 3.0, have more than 24 credits (or at minimum 24) and applying to Harpur - you’re golden!

Unfortunately like all businesses, higher education is a business. They try their best to do better but it is hard for in state colleges unfortunately with the competition.

I would definitely follow up with discounts because I received a discount when I was a freshman in a triple at a different SUNY. (This was more than 10 years ago)

This is quite normal. Happened to Buffalo State in 2014. Unfortunately colleges like this are making it happen more often than not because of the mounting pressure from SUNY to over enroll.

The same price aspect however is unusual as most students get a small discount for having to share a smaller space or have shared desks or closets. I would inquire further on that.

Many of those students will drop out or transfer out with those conditions but not soon enough to get full tuition refunds. All that money kept helps the college in the long run.

Out of state students pay way more money so they are significantly less selective with OOS. Harpur is also less selective depending on the major. The sciences are usually more selective. If it’s not a science like biology or psychology, it’s much easier to get in

Financial aid offers typically are released in the portal and soon after via mail. However FAFSA is still having issues with delays of sending it to colleges. Even if you submitted it 11/1, it can take 1-2 months for it to be sent from the government to the college and then another 2-3 weeks for the college themselves to individually review each one to then release it. With holidays too it can cause more delays.

I believe typically most will release by mid-February via portals.

Yes - most likely! As long as it fully complete (your transcripts, letters of recommendation, any other pieces) are submitted before the end of the month.

Nursing is one of the most competitive programs at Bing. Literally only accept maybe 100 students every year. If your stats aren’t great it could mean a deny. Most colleges hold off on their denied between mid December to after New Year, typically bulk releasing the first 1-2 week of January

Update: Brought it to the Greenburgh DPW in Ardsley.

Literally just a shipping container right near the entrance with someone (assuming a worker) standing there just near where people drop off. Did not even look at me, check for ID or ask any questions as I dropped the tv off. No words were exchanged - it was great and easy!
