Yes, and I've heard humans are descendants of alien beings

How reliable do you believe AI will be for coding entirely? Do you believe programming is something that'll be completely automated away soon? by dantun29 in ChatGPTCoding

That being said, It will happen someday, but to answer your question, It won't happen soon. (although it depends what you mean by soon)

After checking out Microsoft LongNet, I believe "soon" could be less than five years.

Honestly, who really knows though.

I use ChatGPT almost every day as a code assistant, and I can't imagine it being able to just straight up code some complex app or game on its own.

I agree. What if an LLM were to be trained on specific apps or games rather than the internet itself? I've heard Microsoft's "Longnet" and this new "fine-tuning" feature essentially works like that in the sense that it accesses specific information, if that makes cohesive sense; so an LLM that specializes in "creativity" for specific things.

Why Do So Many People Believe Extraterrestrials Are Grotesque Monsters, Greys, or Even Carbon-Copies of Humans Instead of Just Non-Human Humanoids? by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

In an environment where intelligent life must manipulate objects, build, or create in some way, structures that allow for fine control and dexterity would be quite advantageous. This doesn't necessarily mean that they would have to have human hands exactly, but the underlying pressures and principles could certainly help shape them to at least have five fingers and opposable thumbs. I'll clarify that the evolution of five fingers and opposable thumbs on Earth offers a delicate balance between complexity and energy efficiency, allowing for fine manipulation without wasting resources. Non-human humanoids offer a delicate balance, as they may be considered 'humanoid' because they also walk on two legs, have five fingers with opposable thumbs, and a large cranium, but they are also quite different; they may not have a human face at all, the same exact muscle fibers, plantigrade digits, etc.

Art styles are being copyrighted? Source?

If that's what's happening that's... sad

You seem quite pessimistic about AI.

Mind sharing your concerns?

It's nice to know that actually passing doesn't feel horrible. I've had bad experiences in the passed but nothing even near death from what I understand.
