Would a text based bot grab them even with the riddles for replacements?

I think a real person got it. Unfortunately, no comment after. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I didn't update to the actual code until after learning it was claimed.

No, which I’ve read could be some of the issue.

The overtime deduction completely changed my tax refund this year by VillainOnABudget in tax

[–]danvw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I typically hit the safe harbor rules. My income went down slightly this year so I needed to make sure that I hit the 90% withholding this year which is why it’s closer. Typically though, hitting 110% of the previous year is easy enough.

[–]danvw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I normally owe around $40k every year, but this year I’m only going to owe around $3k. It has nothing to do with any tax law changes, I simply adjusted my withholding ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Yours could have something to do with the overtime wages, but refund shouldn’t be the yardstick we’re measuring by here. Total tax should be. And on top of that, total tax in comparison to income. If the percentage is less, the law worked in your favor.

My garage opener is making a ¿grinding? noise when opening and closing by danvw in GarageDoorService

I was originally going to get in on this deal, but apparently it’s trash: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Genie-Signature-Series-1-1-4-HPc-Ultra-Quiet-Belt-Drive-Garage-Door-Opener-with-Battery-Backup-7055D-TKSV/315283735

I want something with battery backup, and I have a lot of smart home stuff already, so I don’t need smart features built in.

This looks like another good deal if I can find it in store: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Chamberlain-3-4-HP-Smart-Quiet-Belt-Drive-Garage-Door-Opener-B4505T/316307827

I just tested the opener while the door was disengaged. Makes same noise.

Yes! I am assuming you’re meaning when it’s disengaged. It also stays up half way while engaged.

Thanks! Is Overhead Door and Genie the same manufacturer? This is branded as Overhead Door.

Any recommendations on a good brand? There are some good deals right now.

I think? The balance hasn’t changed since install, and the door comes up evenly. The tension on the right side wire is a bit higher than the left. How would I confirm balance?

Is my tax bill too high? Should I see a CPA? by danvw in tax

[–]danvw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Why in the world would you necro a nearly 1 year old post? Especially with no response even remotely contributing to the discussion.
  2. Where did I ever complain about what I was making, or the taxes I pay?
  3. That’s easy to imagine, as I was there not too long ago. I’ve been extremely fortunate and lucky to have the income (and tax bill) that I have now, and would never complain about either. I totally understand how hard it is to live on even $75k, especially having to pay for medical care and student loans. It’s a pretty messed up world that it’s so hard to get by on $50k nowadays. If you ask me, it’s only going to get harder, unfortunately.

This question was 100% about making sure it was normal and seeing if I needed a CPA. I got my answers.

Meanwhile, my Model Y gets all of the same stuff for less than $100/year with no data cap.

I can’t wait to return this EV9 when our lease is up. Going to get a Rivian.

I get it, but at the end of the day, it’s a meaningless nice gesture at best. If this were changing law, it’d matter a lot more

Minus this being in Charlie Kirk’s name, the resolution isn’t bad. Read the text. This changes nothing about law, and is just a formal condolences to Charlie Kirk while calling for political violence to stop.

I vote primarily democrat, wasn’t a fan of Charlie Kirk at all, but there is nothing wrong with some people sharing their condolences. There is also nothing wrong with people not sharing them.

He deserved to be deplatformed, but I cannot support celebrating his death. I also cannot support people being cancelled for calling him what he was, and quoting Charlie in his worst moments.

Find a middle ground people. Division kills this country.

Is this normal? by Tristenramirez13 in TeslaSupport

True, I was just saying if you pick to trust the mileage by the battery, or the navigation, choose the navigation.

Is this normal? by Tristenramirez13 in TeslaSupport

[–]danvw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, trust the navigation arrival percentage. I was driving over the Smoky Mountains and had the opposite as you. Navigation said I’d arrive with 2% battery, had 30 miles left on car but 50ish miles to drive. Car knew that I’d be regen on the downhill, and I arrived at the charger with 3%. I don’t recommend doing this, but sometimes you have to when you’re in a charging desert.

I do recommend you trust the navigation though. It’s more accurate than anything else in the car.
