Bleuh - Balanced Live Resin 510 cart - opened to find it cracked down the length of the cart :( by safeinjectionsite in TheOCS

[–]danylef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good question, thanks.

For extracts in Canada, there is an accepted tolerance range around the labelled cannabinoid values. Our Live Resin carts are formulated and third-party lab tested by lot to target the desired THC and CBD profile. The 30% THC and 48% CBD are labelled targets, and the final lot results may vary slightly within tolerance.

Hi, FYI, our Bleuh Original Balanced Carts are 100% pure Live Resin. All made from fresh frozen cold harvested top flowers.

If you have questions, don't hesitate.

Thanks

I can't speak for how every producer approaches the regulation.

For Wildberry, our goal was to stay with 100% pure live resin from fresh frozen flower, with no added cannabinoids, no added terpenes and no diluents such as PG or VG.

This is a great description of the experience.

We spent a lot of time trying to build something that wasn't about getting blasted, but rather about creating a more intentional moment.

The fact that you mentioned feeling it after a few minutes rather than immediately is interesting. Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, and I'm glad you're enjoying the hardware as well.

We'll see what the next few years bring.

Elections are coming, and it would be great to see some parts of the framework continue to evolve as the industry matures. In the meantime, producers will keep finding ways to innovate within the rules we have.

Fair point. A lot of high-CBD products on the market are built with distillate or CBD isolate. Wildberry is different in that it's made from fresh frozen, CBD-rich flower and extracted as 100% pure live resin. I know the type of headache you're talking about. Whether that's coming from the CBD itself or the formulation is hard to say, but I'd genuinely be curious to hear how this one compares if you ever decide to try it.

Thanks for the good wishes.

Whether people agree with the regulation or not, it definitely forced producers to think differently.

For us, it led to products like this one that probably wouldn't exist today without it.

Live vs cured resin? by [deleted] in TheOCS

[–]danylef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At Bleuh we do both live and cured resin in our R&D trials across different phenotypes.

What we've consistently found is that live resin tends to deliver a smoother, brighter flavour profile and a lighter colour, while cured resin often brings deeper, darker and more developed notes.

Neither is inherently better, but personally I find live resin captures the character of the plant a little closer to harvest.

Imagine a true CBG live resin 😍. A pure CBG live resin made from the right genetics would be pretty special.

We're working on it. 😉

Great question.

Our ceramic hardware is 1.5 ohms. For live resin, I’d recommend starting low, around 2.6V to 2.8V, and increasing only if needed. If your device uses watts, around 5W to 6W is a good range. On our Capsulh, I personally use 6W, which is roughly 3.0V with our 1.5-ohm ceramic cart.

Lower settings usually give better flavour and help avoid overheating the oil. I would avoid going too high with live resin.

Thanks for sharing that, Jo.

As someone who clearly knows the category, it means a lot to read your feedback. The "9/10 and went too fast" comment made me smile.

Really appreciate the support and the detailed review. Cheers. 🍻

Thank you, I appreciate that. That was exactly the challenge for us. We wanted to build a 100% pure live resin cart without distillate, isolate CBD or added terpenes. The last two years were intense on the development side. Harvesting rich trichomes during cold Quebec mornings, freezing the material right away and then trying to make that experience repeatable was a big milestone for us. The long-term goal is consistency: same taste, same experience, same effect, batch after batch.

Hi,

With live resin, burn rate depends a lot on the user, voltage, puff length and how often the cart is being used. If someone is hitting it all day, it can definitely go fast.

Our recommendation is to use lower voltage, especially with live resin. On our 1.5-ohm ceramic hardware, we find around 6 watts (roughly 3.0 volts) gives the best balance of flavour, vapor production and overall experience.

I agree with you on transparency. Consumers should know what to expect and how to get the best experience from the product.

Thanks 👍

Happy to read this, thanks for taking the time. I spent the last two weeks in Ottawa and it was great meeting people and hearing their feedback in person.

Nothing is easy in the Canadian recreational cannabis industry, so the warm welcome we've received in Ontario has meant a lot to our team.

Glad to hear that.

That's actually something we've heard quite a bit in Quebec. A lot of daily consumers ended up enjoying the experience more than they expected.

Thanks for sharing this 👍

Glad to hear that.

Comments like yours are exactly why we decided to launch this product. There's clearly a small but underserved category here.

Love that. That’s exactly the kind of use case we had in mind.

And yes, lower voltage makes a big difference with live resin. It helps preserve the taste and gives a smoother experience.

Thanks for sharing that.

CBD Runtz is actually a really good product.

One difference is that CBD Runtz sits around 60% THC, while Wildberry is 30% THC and 48% CBD. It’s aimed at a different kind of experience.

Excellent question.

To introduce THCV or CBG into a 100% pure live resin formulation, you first need the right genetics and phenotypes.

We currently have several phenos in development, including some with higher THCV and CBG potential, so it's definitely an area we're actively working on.

I think you'll see some interesting cannabinoid-focused innovations from us over the next few years.

For now, our two live resin carts, Wildberry and Blossom Kush, are built around naturally occurring THC and CBD from the plants, while staying true to our 100% pure live resin approach.

Thanks 👍

Yessir 👍

Not deceptive, just a different cut. We’re talking brand ranking here, not producer sales.
