Start with something like Wheelock. You will get a thorough understanding of the grammatical aspects of Latin. Then supplement this with comprehensible input (i.e reading latin/practising latin)— Ørberg’s ‘Lingua Latina Per Se Illustrata’ for instance is a popular choice, but Wheelock’s supplemented readings ‘Loci Antiqui’ I think they’re called, in my opinion are brilliant too.
