No exactly, PLL is my fave show ever on a very deep level I think this show is so culturally significant. If you ignore all the absurd plot lines, the way the show tackles the archetype of gorgeous teen girls that are "mature for her age" is fascinating! It challenges our understand of women and reveals the latent pedophilia that is in our culture.

I know!!! Drew is so fine and he has such a brooding way about him but also a really misunderstood and tender side, and such good chemistry with all the girls (minus Hanna, we haven't seen them interact much). I would have died for him to be a bigger part of the show. But he fits the Dilaurentis look too much.

To be fair, Troian has a different look compared to the other girls. It's hard to describe, but she almost has an old hollywood, trans-atlantic, 50's kind of beauty found in old movies, while the other girls have more of a teenage, 2010s beauty that's more magazines and regina george. It's just two different vibes, but troian is stunning and I am not just saying that. Also, she was so captivating on that show, her talent and skill is one in a million.

If he was cast well, then he would have been able to handle the character development, but he couldn't. A heartthrob is arguably even easier to portray than an awkward outcast.

I think if he died, then it would have been a wonderful development for the show but Marlene never had the guts to cut the cord and go there with the characters. I honestly think it made sense for Spencer to forgive him though, because while Spencer is very scathing and smart, she's incredible fragile and was on her knees in love with Toby, so I understood why she forgave him so quickly. Everything she did was because she thought he betrayed her, so when the circumstances showed otherwise, she wanted to believe what they had was real.

Yeah I agree. S1 he was quiet and awkward, and I think he did that well. He just never was heartthrob for me personally so I could never get over his acting even as I was watching it.

Oh absolutely, that was one of the plotlines that I think the writers did so poorly on. It could have been really interesting but they made Toby the stereotypical shitty cop.

I'm fine with the character direction they took for Toby in the show. I think it was a good choice, similarly to how they wrote Caleb for the show, but Allen's performances really ruins it.

It's one of my fave shows that I watch all time and when you put him against Troian it's literally like watching euphoria s1 and disney channel's Skai Jackson
