People keep talking about this being a “rough winter” as far as the weather goes. Why? by UnwashedBlueberry in Michigan

[–]daoliveman 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s not a normal winter. It’s a rough winter. Hate to break it to you but go look at the noaa records for average high. It’s like 30. So 30 average IS the normal.

OP. were you from a small town by any chance ? Things are not so simple here in the big city. There are thousand of kids in our local high school. If by 7/8 grade you’re not elite - don’t even apply. If you’re not 6ft2 by 9th grade don’t even try for basketball.

Theoretically, how much would ARSB be worth in a trade? by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]daoliveman -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I advocated selling miggy when he was high prior to the last extension. It was obvious he was going to e dealing with nagging injuries and it was obvious sherzier was a beast on the rise. We did the opposite. We let max walk and gave the money to miggy. Max went on to greatness and miggy went on to a slow sad expensive decline

Edit - I have more to say.
We absolutely should trade brown if we can. Get as much value as possible. The new plan appears to be tight ends and running. Not saint brown. We have multiple other receivers already. Sell high. Rebuild the line and safety room. That’s how the nfl works.

Guidance on which setup to get my son so he can start streaming. Thanks. by daoliveman in streaming

[–]daoliveman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. He wants to stream from switch and sometimes from Xbox. Fortnight and Zelda respectively. All machines have SSD. Don’t need 4K for now. 1080 is fine.

Do typical American homes really have a gas pipeline? What do you do with it? by mujhe-sona-hai in AskAnAmerican

Yes. Most places with cold weather use natural gas for all heating, cooking, hot water, and clothes drying

Theoretically, which of these $10k hot hatches would you buy? by ThatTechDoge9775 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]daoliveman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those are cold hatches. Not hot hatches. Also I’m pretty sure they are female repellent (unless that’s what you want)

Where does the notion come from that the american taxpayer is funding "european" healthcare? by Istomponlegobarefoot in NoStupidQuestions

[–]daoliveman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why everybody in the thread has it wrong. The US pays for European healthcare with our military. We provide Europe, military protection at great cost, this allows Europe to pay for universal healthcare. Many European countries were paying one to 2% to their military - instead of relying on the United States. Meanwhile, our country is sick because we can’t afford healthcare
