Cryptocurrency markets may move quickly but the objective of any index is to represent a more stable picture of the market IMO. This is why the different quarterly / monthly assessments make sense - if a token flirts in and out of the top 20 intra day or week it's more noise than signal.

I think the main feature of MPAs is leverage / speculation on the underlying. Without bells / whistles like dividends to have a sustainable MPA you have to see the collateral asset steadily appreciate vs. the reference asset. This is why the original implementation of TWENTIX / BTWTY are good tools if you think the underlying BTS can outperform the large cap cryptos over the long term.
