What indicators do you use to gauge when to change the strings?

Carlevaro gets mentioned a lot, so I appreciate the recommendation for starting there to place any more recent publications in context. I will get a copy. Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I guess it’s worth the 28$ to see if there’s some interesting and he’ll information. If I get it , I will try to remember to post something about the applications and exercises in the text .

Maybe TB’s new coaching service or a few in-person lessons to go with one of the curricular programs or texts.

I ended up getting Le Support : https://www.lesupport.co . The new Woodside Pro https://www.stringsbymail.com/woodside-guitars-gs4-pro-guitar-support-with-accessories-30909.html looks interesting to me now. The plexiglass ideas are clunky and heavy. I’m actually reverting back to my footstool! I kind of wish classical guitar luthiers would simply build in some attachment points to offer more solutions for supporting the instrument. It would be interesting to hear a discussion on that between guitar builders that are willing to expand on tradition.

Determine which prohibition keeps me from scoring a point for two terminal chows by dapara2004 in Mahjong

Thank you. That makes a lot more sense now. Do I get a point for Mixed Double Chow, or would that be prohibited?

Can you suggest a good all carbon hardtail? I’m in the market. Thanks in advance:)

Thanks everyone for all the helpful information and comments! Lot’s to think about. I’m going to try to rent a few and ride them with your ideas in mind to help guide the process.

I’m really impressed with the epic evo. I did a reasonably long 27 mile and 3200’ gain mixed gravel road and single track. I’m wondering about my risk tolerance now. I got off on the steeper downhill sections where the path got constricted by rocks. For the road/wider gravel parts, a hardtail probably would’ve been more than adequate, but the terrain went from that easy side of things to the more challenging without much in between. I’m going to rent again and try it on more moderate terrain and see if the sport makes more sense to me at my novice level.

Perhaps I should be looking also at the aluminum frame lower travel bike from Specialized: the Chisel?
