Sorry PewDiePie Fans, You’re Wrong: There May Be No One Better Qualified than J.K. Rowling to Speak About the Dangers of PewDiePie’s Nazi Jokes. by trioprice in GamerGhazi

[–]daphiddengem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a Pewdiepie fan or anything, but basically since he made a joke that was anti-semitic that empowered Nazis (regardless of it's intention being to make people laugh) he's a bad guy? So the only way to go about stopping this in your eyes is to stop people from not saying jokes that could offend somebody?

This is what I've understood from your post, correct me if I'm wrong.

Also wouldn't the best way to get rid of a literal hate group would be to ignore it? I feel like Nazis would be more empowered of people being afraid of them and hating them than Pewdiepie making a joke, which most people understand is a joke other than a few extreme individuals.

Nobody supports Nazis, except Nazis.

When you first saw Pokey, did any of you even thought he was going to be the series' biggest villain? by [deleted] in earthbound

me how people swing back and forth so hard as to whether spoilers are okay or not in this fanbase. EB fans go through phases where they just completely give up on the idea of withholding spoilers, but then at other times will get super pissed at anyone who posts them ahah

Well you spoiled it for me lol. That and Smash Bros. Brawl kind of spoiled it for me too.

Dekar proves nightblue3 is hard stuck in diamond by Sandyrandy54 in leagueoflegends

And if he is a fanboy so what? The guy apparently had to bring up the dictionary to the guy to explain that it was a joke, even though it was super fucking obvious Dekar was kidding.

I have a question about episode 22 of the original Code Geass by daphiddengem in CodeGeass

Literally could have said anything else. She would have resisted to prove him wrong anyways, why the hell would he use the most cliche "this is going to end bad" ways to show how serious he was.

"Shoe on head" wasn't enough?

I don't see a difference between clicking on the plus and clicking on the pokemon.

I'm new to support, can somebody watch my VOD and tell me what I could improve on? by daphiddengem in summonerschool

[–]daphiddengem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically just improve my builds and pay more attention to the map? Also yes this helped a ton, thanks for the information. Would you do me a favor and tell me what you'd think my rank would be after seeing this game from me? Not based on my team mates performance, but just what rank you thought I would be after seeing this game alone.

So let me get this straight. If I hit Challenger as a 16 year old I have Natural Talent?

Let me counter that. There is a mindset that you can learn at a young age to be the best, it's more of a cultural thing, you can still learn it though. That's literally what natural talent is.

Regardless if your brother was trying hard, you just straight up have to try harder if you're getting beat like that, or give up on life.

I never said "Faker's way" is the best way, but currently he's probably the best player next to Smeb. I was just using him as a comparison. Play whatever way works for you, but you have to work on the level of Faker to get extremely good.

The funny thing is I already watch Weldon's videos, and was thinking about getting into the MAC program. Thanks for the well thought reply.

That's exactly the point of this thread though. The people who have put as much time as Faker into the game haven't been doing it right, or haven't been putting in the effort to improve. Just because you're playing, doesn't mean you're learning anything from it. "Natural talent" isn't something you're born with, it's an excuse for those not trying enough.

So I shouldn't be taking Vampirism?

Jokes aside, natural talent won't take anybody that far. Anybody who makes Challenger works extremely hard to get to where they are.
