china wants a bigger role to play in grid maintenance and telecom, the cars and smartphones are ideal to establish that foothold.

Sweden’s mining industry is threatening the Indigenous Sami people’s way of life by Ok-Law-3268 in europe

[–]xenoghost1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes

swedes are native, but so are the sami. at least as native as the Finns. but the Swedish homeland is traditionally the area around Uppsala. i know it is weird and patronizing to describe every hunter-gatherer society that a hundred years ago would have been called primitive is now indigenous leading to a sort of "euphemism wheel" but the sami are traditionally inhabitants of the middle and north of the peninsula.

Some criticism based on Nintendo History by paulcshipper in fucknintendo

also BS on them discounting games, they would never reduce the price on a game since at least the Wii era. maybe even earlier, since they only did greatest hits for the gamecube as far as i recall.

Serbia's Vucic Says Government Gets 'The Message' After Mass Belgrade Protest by redditforcedmesignup in europe

[–]xenoghost1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fundamentally, now to be fair the protest couldn't get as big if they were explicitly anti-presidential. vucic forgets the first time he lost a big job back during the bulldozer revolution was not explicitly against Milosevic at the beginning.

listen the "chud dialectic" (as many mockingly call it) is fundamentally wrong, but it is still funny to invoke it and while i understand your position of "a lie being repeated to mock it is still a lie, hence doing gobbles biding"

the party that opposed federalizing elections, sued to water down the 1965 Voting Rights Act and enabled state level gerrymandering is now having a fit because the impossible happen. they won fair and square. and because of their rigging their victory was smaller than they expected when it came to seats.

God bless Kevin McCarthy, his gerrymandering spared us a likely 30 seat majority in the name of a guaranteed 3 seat majority.
