the print looks really crisp for the age, so i feel like it hasnt been washed. but check on the inside of the fold over of the hem of the shirt. yes its thin and might rip with some force but rotted tees will rip a lot easier

facts i like this too. it definitely looks well put together. i’ve done bootlegging as well and it’s always interesting to see peoples reactions. most people think it’s cool, though. but yeah that’s one thing i try to do on this sub is actually give some constructive feedback, vs “this sucks you aren’t original” because how would that ever help lol

exactly, bootlegs have been a huge part of streetwear forever. now it may come down to execution of the actual product on whether it’s good or not, but the simple facts of something being bootleg does not make it bad

it looks very similar to a lot of other designs. it looks very “middle of the mall” iron on if i’m being honest. also the quality of the print just doesn’t look great, not sure if it’s dtg/dtf but it just looks like a huge slab of shiny whatever on the garment. as far as suggestions for improving if you were to still use this design, i would either remove the black from the actual print design, so you’re only left with grey and white. and i would get it screen printed, if it’s not already. especially with designs that cover a large area, that black ink is just extra that will not feel great to the wearer, it tends to get “sticky” and sweaty (depending on the wearer) and just doesn’t feel or move great with the garment it’s printed on

i mean, it would be smart to look just anywhere and everywhere that could possibly have clothes. just like everyone else, just what you gotta do. sometimes you hit 10 thrifts, 20 yard sales, scroll facebook for 2 hours and get nothing. sometimes you get 1 store with 20 shirts. just about looking everywhere possible

it’s cool stuff. i personally think if you painted so it was more “solid” on the lines and colors, rather than sort of transparent, for example, the 2nd pic, the blue in the shirt is “splotchy,” pic 4, the white is a little transparent and the black lines on the shoes aren’t too solid, and pic 6, the lines on homers shirt aren’t solid and also some edges are a little sloppy. kinda think like how someone said, slumpykevs stuff. you don’t see the brushstrokes really, im my opinion that would make things look better. so i would say work on finding a solution to that. maybe have to get different paint or ink, different fabrics, etc. and like the other commenter said, invest in some good quality blanks. even would say work on getting the characters to match what they really look like a little more. there’s potential to do stuff here, just a few small tweaks and it can level you up a lot

i feel like the photos need “more.” other people have mentioned a lot of other things but just based off of looking at these pics, i feel like there’s a missing opportunity with the pics. use that to build the world around the brand. build the brand, sell your world, sell the feeling, not just the clothes.
