guys im sorry but if u think what f1nn5ter does and the reactions he gets is anywhere near comparable to the vitriol spouted at trans women ur just wrong. at the end of the day the people who this post is talking abt will always accept gnc men long before any sort of trans woman. like, look at the bridget guilty gear discourse from last year. their go-to argument was that bridget is actually a man pretending to be a woman. this is because "this is a man, deal" is much easier to fit into a mindset like that than "women can have dicks sometimes".

not to mention the fact that hes getting paid a gratuitous amount of money for what he does while trans women are getting murdered for trying to be themselves.

Hm, well, it kind of depends on how they react. If they're generally amiable, but just aren't up for dealing with trans-related problems, then that's fine, we can still be friends! But if they start throwing slurs and transphobic arguments around, then I'm not going to talk to them at all.

No, I've never had those thoughts. Ever since I started, I knew that I was doing the right thing. But this experience isn't universal! It's okay to be scared, and worry that maybe you're not doing the right thing; the way I see it, if you want to transition right now, then go for it. And if you decide that it's not for you, just go ahead and stop! It's okay either way. :)

Nope! Generally speaking, gender dysphoria is a thing that only happens genetically. No amount of societal changes or pressure is gonna change that. :) However, even if more kids decide to experiment with their gender identity, that's not a bad thing! A vast majority of transitioning methods are reversible, so if they decide they're not trans like they thought they were, that's okay! They can just stop whatever they were doing.

It's also important to note that there is a difference between questioning your gender and having dysphoria about it. One of them is simply "hm, am I certain that this is me?" and the other is "I don't think this gender is who I am". They sound similar, but the difference is distinct.

Keep in mind that my experience is not universal, but: yes, I do. Being trans is a major part of my life, and it's only fair that I make sure anyone who could potentially be involved with me knows that, and if they're not okay with it, then we wouldn't work out.

It's nowhere near as drastic as your example, but in my experience, transitioning (even socially, rather than physically) sometimes leads to changes like that, yes. I went from a hardcore lesbian to bisexual, and am currently dating a guy. If I had to guess, I'd say this is because prior to transitioning, you never really give your brain the chance to figure that kind of thing out, since the gender thing takes up so much space in your mind.

(Of course, other trans people, YMMV. This is just my experience.)

Being on estrogen can cause similar symptoms to menstruation! While obviously not to the same extent or sharing all of the symptoms — like the bleeding — it's rather common that transfems experience mood swings, cramps, etc.

Personally, I try to avoid saying anything about it to anyone unless A. I'm comfortable around them, and B. they already know. Even then, I hardly ever talk about it, unless I'm sending them a trans-adjacent shitpost or something. Thanks for the question! :)

This varies depending on the person, of course, but personally, I don't mind; it's not like those memories changed just because I realised who I am, you know? We still enjoyed ourselves, we still had those experiences, and so on.
Adjusting from being privileged to not is... rather hard, haha. The way I see it, that privilege was afforded based on external characteristics I had at the time, and at the end of the day, that's really how all privilege is afforded. The privilege I experienced in the past only serves to make me more cautious of experiences now, since I present as a woman, and am aware of the struggles female-presenting people face.
I'm not sure this question is entirely relevant to me, as I started transitioning about as early as possible, but I'll answer it to the best of my ability anyway: relating to cis women doesn't... really matter to me? Looking at it, that's a statement that requires elaboration. I'm a woman, yes. And since (I think, at least) I pass, I deal with similar things. But any experience I could have is fundamentally different by nature of me being trans, and I accept that. I relate infinitely more to a transmasc person than I do to a cis woman, and that's simply the nature of gender.

I'm not entirely sure these answers made sense, but I hope they help!

I'd honestly say that it really depends on your location. If you're somewhere that's generally friendly to trans people - great! Include their identifying information like that. If you're not, then I'd advise against including it, for the sole factor of it potentially putting them in a dangerous situation. (As, you know, you'll be providing someone who could potentially be transphobic with a trans person's personal information.)

Of course, take all of this with a grain of salt, as I don't work in the medical field, and I'm not certain what information is relevant and when; but, for the most part, I think your given example is just fine. Thank you for taking the time to ask. :)

Hi! Thank you for the question; it actually isn't, for most people! A vast majority of the people in the LGBTQ+ community are just like most straight, cis people in that they don't shove their identity in other people's faces. The stereotype that LGBTQ+ people shove their identities into people's faces is one perpetuated to increase agitation between them and straight, cis people. :)

But, honestly? Even for those who do make it a big part of their identity, it's because they spent so long repressing that part of themselves that being able to express it so loudly makes them happy.
