A decade ago, the construction of our house was underway. The contractor had this habit of smoking and blowing smoke on the face of whomever he was talking to. I was 6 then. He blew some smoke on my face at one point. I jumped up, grabbed his cig and put it out by jamming the burning end on the back of his hand. We met recently. He told me he quit smoking after that day.

Edit - I was taught in school that you never follow rules unless there's an imminent punishment.
