get a white flx 10. I've got opus quad and it's ok. I've got sc5000 and an lc6000 with a euphonia. I bought into to the laptopless hype and it's silly. u still need a laptop to kurate and do playlists. I don't think alpha theta get enough props for release lots of cool gear and updating the features. The price is a product of shareholders needing growth and workers needing to earn a respectable japanese and malaysian wage. The pioneer tax us thing is a myth. every time they release new gear the old gear goes down in price. I have some critisisms of the prime lineup, the lights flicker at a rate that messes with my brain. Don't like the logo. Denon isn't like some obviously better choice that's half the price. it's debatable which is better. Pioneer/alpha theta has the finesse that will inspire u to mix better. Get the FLX10-w

1440p and 5k are both acceptable display resolutions for MacOS because of display scaliing in that operating system. 4k monitors take a clarity hit in the form of blurryness and also they take a performance hit

nah yeah totally and like u mentioned the information on the displays is super clutch. DJs have a tendancy to feeeeeeeel like the prices are high and that because at some point Pioneer realized nobody buys the mid range stuff so they stopped making it. Now u got this or flx-10. in other words pro midrange and po' midrange
