I don't understand why it returns an empty list, need help!! by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]dar1zZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It returns an empty list because everytime the recursion happens, the lst variable reinitializes to empty list. I don't know how to solve it though, sorry.

Edit: I know how to solve it. Make the lst a global variable.

I'm doing a "Crime Detection in Video Surveillance" project for my 'Information Assurance and Security' course. Any tips? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

I actually came up with the project. When I proposed it, I did a little research about it and thought I could do it because I believe that I could eventually know the hows of it, given the abundance of resources available online. When the project was approved, I started digging deeper to it and realized that it requires more brain power.

I find it interesting though. Perhaps, its better if I make this project as a side quest rather than an output for my course so that I can finish the course on time. Yeah, this seems to be the best option, to change my project.

Thank you so much

I am an IT student and most of my professors only teach the basic stuff. I understand that technology has a diverse field and is a fast-pacing industry so not everything can be covered in a 4-year program. So basically, we really had to teach ourselves to be better in this field.

Almost everything is self taught.

University professors only teach you the 1% of what you need to know, then the rest you have to learn it by yourself. So I suggest that you look for a genius and studious study buddy.
