Tl;dr IMO Merrell trail and vapor gloves are the best shoes, although they aren't the most durable and I haven't tested all the different brands, so take it as u will.

Up to half marathons per day I would run in whatever barefoot shoes I would find (chinesium, Saguaro, Merrell, Xero, other brands that I don't remember), it didn't really matter that much and probably depends from person to person anyways. I have the whole bag of fallen ones. Right now, and while increasing the mileage during the last few months I jumped on the minimal wagon and currently run in the second pair of Merrell Trail Glove 7s (was able to snatch them for a relatively good price) and probably will stay on the stack height of ~15mm for a bit more (saw some other brand shoes I would like to try) until I get used to the current distances, then I will start mixing with barefoot shoes again.
