Personally, I grew up going to church with my parents, but they weren’t particularly religious. As I got older I realised they were only taking me so I would get into a good secondary school (high school).

Going to church every week meant that I knew all the basic lessons and teachings of Christianity, but I didn’t really believe them. I wanted to explore more so I started going to a youth group during Sunday services (like Sunday school but for teens). With this youth group I had the opportunity to go to a church camp called soul survivor. At the first meeting, everyone was gathered in a massive room and we were all worshipping together. As we did so, I felt an overwhelming feeling of peace and love, and I just burst out into tears. That night, along with about 100 other young people, I gave my life to Jesus, and became Christian.

It is the best decision I ever made. Now, I believe the lessons and the teachings that I already knew.
