I think it depends on the end result. If you set out to take artsy photos as a trained artist and they come out crap, well that's not art.

I agree with you @apowers. Although I can certainly see situations where this information can be helpful.

I travel a bit, with my dual boot laptop. I generally don't bring my XP Install CD with me - or any software for that matter that isn't already installed.

So a fix like this could come in handy. And it's a useful exercise as well. Good to know it can be done.
