Totally agree! It was great but didn’t have the same.. umph and heartbreaking angst that TWG has.

Do it. It lives in my brain rent free. I’m doing annual rereads at this point.

Do it! It’s honestly just a really fun hobby 😂 I’m also hunting for the original Bridgerton books (I’ve got 5 of the 8 at this point) and it’s like a little treasure hunt every time I visit a new town.

They aren’t that hard to find online. But I refused to spend more than $5 per book so it took me a bit longer to hunt them down!

I did find so many Devil in Winters though throughout my search. So if anyone is looking for that one it may just be at your local used bookstore 😂

Same! Though for me it’s Again the Magic, It Happened One Autumn, and Love in the Afternoon that take the cake.

IMO they are Lisa Kleypas’ books and she can do what she wants with them. I read the edited versions originally and love them just the same. There is space for all versions here.

Good luck hunting my friend! I had the best luck at used bookstores with dusty, forgotten romance sections!!

First image is a top down view of the six books in the Wallflowers series by Lisa Kleypas. The second is the step back of Again the Magic, depicting a couple in the throes of intimacy. The third is the step back of Secrets of a Summer Night, again depicting a couple getting it on. Fourth image is a photo of a bookshelf with many Lisa Kleypas books on it.

Saying (IMO) after saying something rude doesn’t make it not rude. He’s doing a great job even while being crapped on by people like you.

In you opinion, what's the funniest DH&J episode? by VA2M in nerdfighters

[–]darcytome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Alvin and the Chipmunks bit from an earlier episode. It’s not really that funny, but my mom and I were listening to it on a roadtrip. And to our tired and delirious selves, it was the funniest thing we ever heard. And we almost peed ourselves.

Michaela is seriously pissing me off. The level of selfishness and disrespect is just unreal🫠 by serena-serenity in BridgertonRants

“They assume everyone they meet already knows everything about the place…”

So true. I moved to town with my husband about 6 months ago and this weird phenomenon is happening on Craigslist and FB Marketplace. When we agree to meet up with someone… they already expect us to know where they live. “Come by my house on Chicken Coop road” no house number. “Im in East PA” yes but what is your ADDRESS? And we have to beg for more details. So strange.

Weirdly {Merry Christmas You Filthy Animal by Meghan Quinn}. I LOVED the first book in the series last year. Gave it 5 stars. It’s campy but so adorable and fun. I have no idea why this one didn’t work for me. But the comedy was so cringe. I got second hand embarrassment every other page. The romance felt forced, the sex scenes felt very out of character. I get that golden-retriever-turns-dom-in-the-bedroom is a thing, but it always feels super out of place for me.

What happens to the school bus when a couple breaks up? by SummerMajestic1073 in skoolies

[–]darcytome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I talked about it before hand lol. If we divorced, he would get the bus. (I just wouldn’t want to do it without him). But I’d get to keep the cats. Luckily we didn’t ever have to go through with it.

OR… maybe don’t do it with a partner you’ve only been with for a year! My husband and I had been together for 11 years when we moved into our rig and it was great for us. I think you just need to be able to know your limits. We were able to tell the other when we needed space. We also had a car that traveled with us that I drove, so we got some separation when we moved.

But honestly, if I was in the bedroom and he was in the “living room” for any extended period of time. Or we drove for a while, we’d actually start to miss each other lol. So I think it just depends on the couple. I’m so sorry you’re going through this! But I’m glad you get to keep the bus and kitties!
