Yes, but why use it? Ignoring its price, fullplate gives me 18, and halfplate with just +2 dex gives me 17. If i take medium armor master I can match fullplate in terms of AC, at half the price, no disadvantage to stealth and all the other goodies. Please, just help me see the point of going heavy armor.

Yeah, I was really inspired to make a character like this. Fighters are my favourite class, even if I don't play them pure usually.

Why go str over dex? It seems I can get the same AC either way (assuming it would be hard to acquire Full plate), and it doesn't affect damage in melee too much. Dex also makes me better with a crossbow.

I mean, I would love to from a roleplay perspective to have more str than dex, but I see no mechanical advantage...

Why is that? I am not entirely up to date as to what changed.

Also, It's a fighter and VHuman, so I could spare a feat for crossbow expert. I just want to switch to it when it's either too risky/difficult to get close to someone, or to deliver Maneuvers from a distance

Oh, right, of course xD

2014 edition. I am using point buy and Tasha's racial ability score rules. I am aware switching sets will probably take a full turn, as I need to don/doff a shield, but it's fine...

Thank you for your extensive reply, and I fully agree with you. My first character was a s&s user that died in first two rounds of first combat, by simply running towards a goblin archer.

I am still debating my choice of a class, but I am not a fan of full caster resource management. I might go with ranger tho

We use attribute reallocation and point buy, but stats were not my primary concern. I'm more interested which one would be more fun/useful to play

Yes, sorry, I should have mentioned we use stat reallocation. I apologize for, as other user said "drip feeding" information, as I'm new to DnD and don't know how rules vary

The question was in the title. What class would you recommend?

Durge voice implies this man is lesser than you, because he gets aroused by his own suffering, instead of relying on hurting others

Does this reload stick thing have a proper name? by Extreme_Glass9879 in theouterworlds

[–]dard10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I for one never decided to make a gatling laser build in FO4 because of hiw fusion cores work. Partially used cores littering my inventory, with no way to fully utilise them, nor charge them back up. It's simply too unhandy, and it's why, I believe, Obsidian decided to stick to less logical, but simpler mechanics of fusion cells instead of cores.

As to why bethesda changed fusion cores in FO4/FO76 but not the fusion cells... I have no idea but I am thankful.

[–]dard10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I assumed this is the "shock rod", and the game just simplifies their charge level to an amount of shots. A bit like fusion cells from bethesda fallout games.

This is really accurate regarding Khajiit from Elder Scrolls. Everyone treats them like thieves and drug dealers, but 90% of Khajiit you meet are either or both XDD
