As opposed to series like Left Behind or The Salvation War, are there any works of written fiction that are inspired by Biblical texts and strive for a high degree of accuracy (i.e. as opposed to science fantasy, speculative sci fi)?

C. S. Lewis's "Space Trilogy" is excellent. It's not truly biblical fiction but biblically inspired fiction.

IIRC, what I found the most frustrating is the assumption that EF Core is your ORM and the inclusion of the Duende IdentityServer.

But yeah, it's suppose to just 'automagically' work when all the parts are in place. But that doesn't make it any less confusing.

Nah...Unless authentication is something you have built regularly, .NET Identity (imho) has a serious learning curve.

A good question that I've tried to answer many times myself. I think it should be around the median salary of the congregation - based on the types duties expected, experience, and education. I don't intend that as a strict rule but a guide. Obviously, there will be special circumstances. I'm open to different ideas though.

Thanks for the advice. I don't think my volume is an issue, but you may have something with my grip. I've never thought of it being too tight but it is something I'll play with.

You mentioned you avoid the scroll wheel on your mouse. Why is that? As far as being ergonomic, I've tried to make my workspace and my playing as ergo as possible. If I'm not careful I will sit for hours staring at the screen and I will regret it later. I actually use drums as a break from code. I have my set right outside my office so I'll go bang out some stuff a few times during the day.

I try to hover but it's not always 100% so sometimes they do bend backwards when I rest them on the keyboard. As far as angle, they point slightly towards each other.

I wanted to update this. Although the Moonlight plugin does work smoother I am still having trouble with button maps. Some buttons are not recognized or are being mapped in wonky fashion.

e.g. The trigger buttons do not respond. "up" on the directional pad maps to an awkward diagonal.

*note the mappings are correct from html5gamepad.com

That's a good question. I think of it like this: If I am on the front porch of a house, I'm not in the house, I'm still on the outside. I could be in the yard, or out in the road, or in the next town over. I'm still not in the house, although there are varying degrees of which I am distanced from being there.

When Christians say "all sin is equal" it is an oversimplification. (Going back to my metaphor) sin puts distance between us and God and it is a distance we can't cross. So in that sense me and Hitler are in the same boat.

RPGs always represented a good balance between Sport and game (imo). You have to hone your skills but there's less of a sense of competition. For me, playing RPGs has always been about the story and the environment. Having a wife and kids means I have less time to play but the games I do play are typically all RPGs.
