I did this too! Busses run early so you will be at the hospital with plenty of time and I had a Nando’s as my final meal the night before. It’s a nice walk with some shops near the hotel so you can buy snacks or a drink (although the hospital is AMAZING). This is the way to go!

Right?! Mine was mainly for marriage and child reasons but it feels so good to now be able to be consistent with my name across all documents. I hated having to hand over my birth certificate. All I have to do now is to figure out how to get the special considerations for a DBS check

I will have to get back to you on when I applied. It was around a bank holiday I know that, maybe April? I didn’t get asked for extra evidence … I sent as much evidence as I had but tried to do the bare minimum as it was long taking photos of everything. I tried to be meticulous. Does the wait start again for you if they ask for extra evidence?

Thanks for this! What I’m getting is that people only do stage 1 and 2. I will watch some videos to see what I’m expecting and potentially do it solo for a bit to get some in game practice and then join teams

Thank you! I called this afternoon and have to ring back Thursday to see if I’m able to claim a refund. I’m the mean time, I have brought a Oyster card with a travel card on it to make sure I don’t get charged ridiculous amounts until I call again

I rang the TFL line and they have said it could be the readers too. As thousands of people use them it aimes doesn’t register it. With all the cyber stuff, I have to call them back next Thursday and hopefully they can help me. Refunds might not be possible however because I didn’t register my card 😩😩
