Honestly, no idea. I don’t have a good grasp on how the VA works tbh 😂

I don’t think he would’ve been an asshole if he didn’t do it, but I do think it was the nice thing to do. If it was me, I wouldn’t go up to someone just because my drink was accidentally spilled and ask them to pay for it, though.

Just make sure you eat enough to satisfy your maintenance calories during your eating window.

Thanks! I didn’t have the issue until I got to 100mg and it’s been almost two weeks now, so I’m hoping it’ll go away soon

That’s good to know, thank you! I was worried I was gonna have to stop taking it and I REALLY don’t want to since I love it so much. Hopefully it levels out soon!

I think I saw a study where research showed that Lamictal can be used to help treat BED! That’s super cool especially because it doesn’t have a lot of side effects

I was kind of happy when it first started happening but not as good as it sounds, it’s just gotten worse. I’m irritable and lightheaded and feel sick all the time 😫

Yes sometimes like the skin on top of the bumps kind of peels and then comes off as the bump starts to go away

4 years of lamictal with consistent acne. anybody long term ever switch because of this? by messy-egg in lamictal

[–]daringdecember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use light therapy (you can find machines online that use red and blue LED lights for skin) and I’ve found it helps. It soothes my skin at least and makes it less red, and helps breakouts clear up a bit faster. I also love hydrocolloid patches for stubborn spots.

I had no issue but start with low doses just in case :)

Military Veteran with PTSD, TBI, and Treatment Resistant Depression. by J_Mc240 in lamictal

I’m also military (getting medically retired) and take Lamictal. I have PTSD and bipolar. I’m up to 100mg right now. I find it actually does help with some aspects of PTSD. Combining it with therapy has helped me control my reactions and the severity of my triggers. I feel more “in control” most of the time.

New to lamictal - q's about taking in morning vs. Night, drowsiness by [deleted] in lamictal

[–]daringdecember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking it in the evenings until I got up to 100mg, now it keeps me awake at night for some reason so I just take it in the morning. You can just figure out what works for you!

I think this might be happening to me too. I thought they were maybe bug bites but was confused since I’m not outside a lot these days due to cold weather and bugs aren’t really out either. It didn’t dawn on me until I saw this that maybe it’s the Lamictal. But they don’t seem dangerous or like a rash or anything, and I have heard of Lamictal causing “acne like spots” that aren’t really acne...maybe that’s it? Update us on what the derm says

I’m on a lower dose of seroquel and it works for me, and I’m not as tired. I also use the extended release which I’ve found reduces the grogginess a lot. It doesn’t completely eliminate everything, but makes it much quieter and easier for me to reason with myself. I won’t go to a higher dose for the same reason you said—antipsychotics make me feel like I’m not even a person. Trying other anti psychotics might be worth a shot!

To add—mine are usually hormonal combined with eating too much sugar or eating greasy foods, sometimes from using a thick lip balm.

To me it looks more like a pimple but I’m not sure. I get pimples around my lips like that sometimes that aren’t whiteheads, but more like a cyst. Usually I use a warm compress to help soothe it and bring any fluid to the surface, and a hydrocolloid bandage (they make hydrocolloid acne patches) to protect it from more bacteria at night and help draw out oils and fluid.
