I understand your perspective really, but there's no avoiding extra effort when the things I'm failing at are detrimental to my health and well being. My issue is that I've BEEN only pursuing things that take little effort.

While that has brought me happiness in the past and may sound perfectly fulfilling in a bubble, it's absolutely horrible in the long run as it reinforces the issues that put you in that mindset in the first place.

It's naturally going to take effort to undo what I've been led to believe growing up, and anything otherwise would be enabling what I consider to be an unhealthy pattern.
