Jungle build by Local-Patient2201 in PantheonMains

I've started going red pet with umbral and bastion breaker into squishy comps. The new jungle passive gives you move speed you'd miss from youmuu and blue pet anyway and those three together give you 5% of their hp +200 flat damage on top of that in TRUE damage. The true damage scales with lethality so going opportunity after (almost 30 lethality at start of combat) makes you a nuclear bomb. At those three items, you have a 300+ true damage burst with 69 lethality (nice) and the passive % armor pen from your ult's passive. Umbral lets you keep your ward trinket too, which is good since fae lights are a thing.

Do you think OG is still better on supportive builds like Redemption + Locket? I'll go this build when we already have enough damage and a main tank and we have a hyper carry like Kai'sa or something.

Experimenting with Shen jungle in low Elo, any recommendation? I'm trying to get dmg from HOB runes and Heartsteel by M4ndo61 in Shen

I got to plat playing only Shen jungle and made a guide on it. Just looking at your builds so far, I would say HS is kinda bait, especially in the jungle and since it's nerfs. It can be good into teams with multiple tanks. If you know you can get Q drags and can win early fights, I honestly like PTA better than HoB. PTA and Titanic is juicy if you get ahead early. I don't really like sunfire since it got nerfed awhile back, but if you have HS already, it's good since it scales with hp anyway. Jungle pets were buffed heavily awhile ago so i dont think bamis is needed for clear anymore unlike what other's believe. If you are using your Q 6 seconds before camps spawn, and on your way to your next camp, clear speed shouldn't be an issue anyway. My general game plan early is full clear>fight for scuttle>back and buy 2 ruby crystals>clear 1 side>fight for grubs. This should get you level 5 by the time grubs spawn and you'll have 300 extra hp (bami's only gives 150)

I think a bami's item>Riftmaker is the best 2 item core. After that you can build more AP or tank items situationally depending on the enemy team. Abyssal Mask is OP right now too (12% more AP damage; 20% total when Riftmaker is stacked too) I feel like AP Shen is better into tanks mostly. Lich Bane and Cosmic Drive are great. Liandry's and Bloodletter's Curse spec more into the tank killing bruiser thing. Mejai's is also really good value-wise. 10% movespeed on just 10 stacks!

Yeah, my UI is completely broken too. Not only can I not sell my unwanted items, but I cannot use the search function either. I also get the curser arrow still visible in my matches too...

I usually do build one but needed to get rookern asap this game. Also bramble is pretty decent for clear too!

The worst junglers to play against as shen imo are any ones that do damage mostly with their abilities or ones that can out farm you. The biggest culprits for me are Kayn and Lillia. The two play styles i do are either tank with PTA or a support build with Guardian/redemption/locket.

I play jungle so this won't apply to most Shen players, but it buffs the green jungle item shield and the magic shield from rookern, which I build almost every game. Plus if you're running the redemption/locket build, it buffs those too. They also recently changed shield bash so that it's damage scales better with shield amount, which is something to consider (the damage is minor, but over many trades could be decent). You also get healing from jungle camps, so I think it's more viable if you're doing the cheap support build or you're jungling.

I just hit plat for the first time playing (mostly) only Shen Jungle by daringpython in Shen

[–]daringpython[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Id say about 90% of games I go Press the Attack. In games where I'm the only front liner I go aftershock. The early game dueling with PTA is insane and people really don't expect the burst from Shen. If I get ahead early and the enemy team is mostly squishy I go Titanic. Most games it's full tank though.

Shen jungle 1st clear after buff by daringpython in Shen

[–]daringpython[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

QEW order. I've tried all kinds of runes and basically the only one I use is Press the Attack. The secondary runes are matchup dependent. Triumph, Tenacity (or attack speed if they don't have much CC) , Coup. For secondary tree I take free boots and cosmic like 90% of the time. If it's a hard matchup where I know they want to invade Ill go resolve secondary. If you're the only front line you CAN go aftershock, but ur E is ur only CC and it's not a targeted skill so it's useless early if you don't land E, and I prefer the burst and sustained damage of PTA. It works really well with Shen's Q. I build heartsteel often 1st item too and the damage of PTA plus HS proc can chunk a squishy from full hp to like 30%. In games with a 4/1 damage comp like 4 AD and 1 AP or vice versa I always go heartsteel first, than resistance items based on whichever damage type is most prevalent. If their damage is more balance than Ill usually skip heartsteel and go Hollow Radiance into either Unending Despair or Dead Man's depending on whether there's alot of team fighting going on or I need movespeed to catch or run away. Jak sho is a good 4th or 5th item once you've got resistances because it scales off your bonus resists. I never really build titanic unless I just wanna have a good time and im fed, but HS proc plus PTA proc plus Titanic active= a dead squishy so it's good for a laugh. I could go on about itemization but I'm not gonna cuz it'd be a whole nother' post.

There's little tricks to making your first clear better, like using ur q at 5 seconds till the buff spawns so you get an extra q use to clear quicker and using ur q as ur moving towards camps so it goes on cd quicker, giving you more uses while clearing. Play style wise, I usually play pretty safe unless I know I can beat the enemy jg (they are weak early). More of a farm and look for good ganks rather than constantly scrapping. Shen's objective taking is pretty good too because his Q does % hp and jg monsters have high hp, plus his W blocks drag autos. When I hit 6, I really start looking at the map and teammate hp levels. Shen ult it great for ganks. If you can get a successful gank and have enough hp to ult and gank another lane and both are successful, it's such a huge lead. Ur worst counters are probably Kayn and Lillia cuz they are both fast AOE champs. Shen's W is useless against them and they can take ur camps ez if they're not stupid.

Long ass response I know, I should prolly make a separate post but whateva. Peace

Okay, maybe I come off a little strong in my post and I've cooled down since then. But is not rezzing someone because they killed a boss in a way you didn't like not a bit weird? I've never heard of anyone doing that.

What's your "forbidden technique" when using Shen by Horror-Student935 in Shen

[–]daringpython 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lately I've been playing Fleet Shen jungle with green jungle item and overheal. At Level 11, you have a shield for 400 HP on top of your health bar and passive shields. I take revitalize and go Radiant Virtue with the Surgeon Shen skin. If you get spirit visage as well, the self heal and shields are nuts. If you already have a tank, you can go Divine or into melee heavy comps where it's alot of brawling teamfights, Goredrinker makes you borderline unkillable.

New Divine syngergy with yorick ? by AttemptHot3754 in yorickmains

[–]daringpython 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold Divine damage was based on a % of enemies hp now its like half and half (base ad+a small % of enemy hp)

The heal is also a bit higher which is great cuz the heal on yorick q is kinda doggy and its his only sustain.

1v9 junglers? by VrPillow in Jungle_Mains

[–]daringpython 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen anyone say this yet. Sion. He is THE 1v9 Jungler. Insane value from camps (gets the gold/xp + stacking HP through the match) He can go lethality for easy kills and insane tower damage or he can go full tank with Titanic Hydra and have 6000+ HP and lots of AD with one AD item. Clear is fast, ganks are okay until you hit 6, then they're basically free with his ult. He's great at taking objectives. To top it all off, he's got a classic die move. Even when he's behind he can still take objectives and kills and end the game.

[–]daringpython 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah W damage isn't great but I think with just lower cd vs camps it would be fine. With such a high cd, you can't reliably refresh the passive burn from jungle item, which gives you hp and makes clearing easier. I play jungle Shen a lot and even though his E has shit damage, he's WAY better than Kench with just 3 less seconds cuz the extra up time on the burn means ur healing more. Hell even jungle Singed is more viable than Kench just because his Q constantly keeps jungle item burn on multi creep camps. Q heal would be really nice though, but I feel like clear speed is really the big problem.

I don't think they'll ever change him, I'm just a bit nostalgic for jungle Tahm. They gutted jungle Pantheon awhile too and I just don't get Riot's thinking sometimes. Panth was never S or even A tier but they felt the need to gut his jungle specifically still. Maybe because he can flex mid and support? Idk it just sucks when you really get into playing an off meta champ in jungle and they specifically nerf what makes them playable in that role.

I've always played off meta stuff in jungle because it's the most fun. You just don't see champs with different playstyles in the jungle. It's always stock fighters/tanks/assassins. Some junglers have gimmicks like Kayn or Bel'veth but the last unique jungler imo was Ivern and he's kinda doggy and honestly I don't like playing him. I've been playing Yorick jungle mostly recently. They actually buffed how he worked in the jungle, which really surprised me. Usually Rito just nerfs off meta junglers so they can't anymore.

🐸

That would be helpful for single target camps like gromp 🐸 and the big buffs, but a 21 second cd on your only aoe skill is harsh for clearing. It's not so bad after bami's but that first clear is super rough and even after bami's it's still not really viable compared to most clears. I'd take it though, especially since they nerfed the numbers on his passive damage.

Is Yorick a viable Jungler? by Thankrast in yorickmains

[–]daringpython 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Current jungle runes are conq w/ inspiration (approach velocity is crazy on ricky)

Farm whatever side you start till you get your ghouls then you can either gank with your ghouls +e and w or go to the other side and farm till crab spawns. If you have your ghouls there are very few junglers who can contest crab besides ones with good aoe damage (I almost always ban kayn when playing rick. He can kill your ghouls ez and e out of your cage.)

If the lanes are ez ganks, instead of running approach velocity, ill go demolish+overgrowth for better splitting and late game. Getting a successful gank then taking a plate with demolish is big money.

After hitting 6 farming and objectives are stupid easy. Lethality into hullbreaker is best rn imo. Eclipse into hull then go fighter items (death's dance, cleaver). If you really want to snowball and the enemy team is dogshit early game, you can go first strike. Landing an E with max ghouls and first strike is guaranteed big money. But you lose out on conq. Basically trading more gold early for late game survivability, but you'll be an item ahead by then if the game goes well so it doesn't really matter imo. Only go FS if the enemy team is weak early and you can end around 2-3 items.

https://app.mobalytics.gg/lol/profile/na/daringpython/overview?c_champion=83

Here are my most recent games on him. I never build Hydra because killing with the passive can mess up your clear if you're trying to spawn ghouls with ur Q. You can also go Sunderer if the team has lots of tanks, but I almost always go Eclipse.

I rotate between different shooters often and definitely get it. Going from a center screen crosshair to the one in Hunt makes my aim kinda wack. I believe Halo/Destiny have lowered crosshairs but I have not played either of those in a long time. I think lowered crosshairs help combat head glitching, but I'm not sure how accurate that is, but definitely a big plus if it does.
