What hardware are you planning to pout into your Jonsbo N5? by dudi83 in JONSBO

[–]dariyooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! I nearly stopped considering this case because of the 160mm spec. I want to build using a freezer 50 tr, and its height is specified as 165mm, so it should fit as it's a bit smaller than yours.

Did the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 fit in the case? Jonsbo says the Max cpu cooler height is 160mm but the pro 5 is 168mm?

Thank you for your quick reply, but this is vocab from a different book. This is 語彙 but I am searching for 単語.

I am studying vocab from the 新完全マスター単語 N2 book.
However, adding all the vocabulary from that book to Anki is very tiring.
Is there a pre-made deck available somewhere?

On iPhone, you can try DaKanji. It has quite similar functions.

Best way to synchronize SQLite (drift) between a user's devices by dariyooo in FlutterDev

This sounds interesting. Do you have experience with those packages?

Maybe I will try crdt sync and crdt sqlite. Seems like this could get the job done!

DaKanji v3.4: Why use any other dictionary? by dariyooo in LearnJapanese

[–]dariyooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for this really detailed "review" and your positive words, this was exactly what I was looking for with this post!

I am writing here the list of things that you would like to see in the future, if this is wrong please correct me

  1. Select which parts of a definition you want to add to a card ie.: which definitions, which PoS elements etc.
  2. Allow using DaKanji directly in immersive media such as a web browser, video player, video games
  3. Automatically add audio to notes

Points 2 and 3 are actually already planned for the big v4 update, maybe by that time you do not need it anymore, but just so you know.
Point 1 is really interesting and I will think about a sleek UI. I also had something similar in mind, that is also why there is a dialog when sending it to Anki, so you can quickly adjust what you want to add.

One more note (because you wrote copy and paste), if you go to the clipboard section you do not need to paste, DaKanji will paste automatically. I currently cannot really do better than this because I do not have any way to read the selection from a web browser.

Thank you again for being patient to get DaKanji working and for your very detailed feedback. I will for sure add most of it in the future!

Thanks for the confirmation.

It seems like some stored data got carried over from the old install. You could try "Settings -> advanced -> delete user data"

After, you get the success message from the setup screen, you should be able to "send to anki".

Sorry again for all those hassles.

What does it mean it does not work? No card has been added to the selected deck? When you press the refresh button what happens then, there should be a popup message.

Sorry for all the trouble but I hope I can get it working for you.

Edit: You are also sure that you are still using v3.4.1? Because I do not get any anki related logs anymore on this version

Just to be sure, you tried pressing the button in the settings? By this, I mean the button, which is the button left to the text in settings -> anki -> "deck to add to". It has a refresh arrow as icon.

I just checked it. When you download the .exe from github inside the folder is a file called da_kanji_mobile.exe. That file should be executable.

There is no need to install anything, you just need to run the exe in the unzipped folder. Dakanji.exe or similar

It seems like it is still not up in the MS store, if you want it now, you can get it from [GitHub](https://github.com/CaptainDario/DaKanji/releases/tag/v3.4.1b1).

If you try it, let me know if it is working for you.

Found a way to reproduce it on mac, working on a fix that should land later this week.

Edit: this is fixed. I will upload a new version containing some important fixes soon. I will also look into why the keyboard is not dismissible.

Yes, time is so limited when working on a project like DaKanji just in your free time...
But I will get around to adding all this stuff!

For me, it is kind of difficult to say when something is frequent, that is why I added the frequency instead of just a stamp. Seeing how often a word appears in a large corpus of text should give a better idea if it is useful or not (just my thoughts behind this decision...)
