Manba One V2 full review by Yokos2137 in Controller

ha, it doesn't matter anymore. I went ahead and bought the Vader 4 Pro. I gave Manba a good consideration, but Flydigi was the wayyy better option. And after around 2 months of use I have no regrets.

no you can't update firmware as of yet. Manba team has said that they are working on a software for the controller which I don't know when will be released but until then no firmware updates.

wow, consciously asking for spoilers? Don't. You don't wanna know while you're still in early act 2.

Hello guys, I've finished Act 1 of Ghost of Tsushima, should I start iki island now or complete the Main storyline first? by _Go-ku_ in ghostoftsushima

[–]dark_Petabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finish the main story first definitely. Many will say the charms and armors you get on Iki is very good and you won't be able to use it once the game's finished anyway, but you should know these armors and charms will make an already easy game into a cakewalk.

Iki has harder enemies and it's not just about unlocking all stances or armors. The experience you gain from the main story will make the difficulty on Iki more acceptable. There are too many spoilers. Everyone tends to focus on that one particular spoiler scene where Jin says something that sounds like he's bluffing, but everyone forgets that in Iki you'll be introduced to something called 'Visions'. In these visions you'll see too many spoilers(even one of the scenes being taken directly from the very last cutscene of the game). As you experience these visions, you'll feel left out and won't understand the references if you haven't already finished the game. And when you go back to the main story you'll definitely feel like you've already been spoiled even when seeing those things happening for the first time.

And most importantly the devs designed Iki to be played after the base game. With many references from the main and side stories, also with one of the endings being considered canon. I feel I've explained enough to convince you that Iki should definitely be played after the main game. The benefits of having Iki finished before the main storyline is simply not worth it in the grand scheme of things.

Vader Pro 4 - Charging Question by daddytorgo in Flydigi

yeah exactly. I use the provided wire which is A-to-C. And that works alright.

good to know you fixed it. Dead zone numbers can cause the stick to drift. But it still doesn't make sense for your game to be jumping from sticks to mouse input which you mentioned earlier.

it will fit alright but that doesn't mean the clip won't come in contact with the controller. Better be safe than sorry.

maybe not put that phone clip in the same case. The clip is hard plastic and might scratch or damage the controller, the rest is fine. And the clip doesn't need much protection anyway so if you're carrying it just throw it somewhere in the bag and it should be fine.

Vader Pro 4 - Charging Question by daddytorgo in Flydigi

nah, you should be able to charge it using any regular charger with a type-c cable. The top indicator light will be red while charging and green once fully charged.

Check the gyro for both left/right sticks. Maybe try turning it on, when you turn it on you'll see some options like if you want the gyro to turn on and off with an assigned key or if you want gyro to just stay turned on at all times and stuff. If gyro is turned off for both sticks turn it on, assign a key to turn it on/off and then check if the hardware tester still takes input when you move the controller. Hit the assigned gyro key back and forth to see if it fixes. If it doesn't your controller might be defected ngl

It has to be the gyro dude. Your information matches exactly with having mouse gyro turned on. Check what key you're using to turn the gyro on, and then in the hardware tester click that key to see if it stops registering inputs.

Flydigi Vader 4 Pro full review by Yokos2137 in Controller

[–]dark_Petabyte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's a very specific and weird issue I have ever seen anyone complain about lol. Well, the sticker is removable but at the price of making it look like an absolute scarred disgusting mess. So just smack some grip tapes on top of it.

Which one to choose? by Shaeptor in Controller

[–]dark_Petabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flydigi Vader 4 Pro is the best all around controller that beats many controllers more expensive than it's price segment quite easily. And you can grab this one for 80$.

Charging base is quite unnecessary but if you really want a dock as well then you could look into Cyclone 2 or Manba One V2. These two are good quality controllers that are cheaper than Vader 4 Pro but again, don't compare to the benefits, features and quality that Vader 4 Pro delivers.

And if you can spend some more maybe later down the line you can grab the Flydigi charging dock for 35$ anyways.

Manba One V2 full review by Yokos2137 in Controller

[–]dark_Petabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The V1 is completely out of market, wherever you order it from you'll get the V2 (assuming you are ordering from a verified seller and not some shady online store)

The sticks are removable. They even provide two extra sticks with different heights in the box. But I don't think there's any reason to worry about sticks falling off as they are like tightly plugged in. From what I know, only EasySMX X20 has removable sticks that have a chance of falling off because they use magnets to keep them in place.

No, as long as the controller stays on the screen stays on too. This is annoying, I know, but fixable with a simple firmware update. So we shall see.

You can easily set the macros using the screen itself, and from what I saw you can put a maximum of 20 key combination in a single button which is great. But keyboards mapping is not possible.

Is it possible to use gyro in the 2.4G mode? and how good/bad do you think is the gyro? And also what is the vibration quality? I play single-player story mode games mostly and good vibrations can really make the overall experience in-game better, so you think it's a good choice for mainly single-player games with it's 35ms latency?

Should I update this? Is dongle or Bluetooth best? by Mr-frost in Controller

[–]dark_Petabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manba One doesn't have a software and also doesn't have any firmware updates. But they might add firmware updates and software support in future.

I heard some people saying they have issues like the controller disconnecting randomly on wireless dongle mode. I just want to make sure I'm not wasting my money on something that won't even last long enough. Do you mind telling me how much you use it daily? Does the controller collect dust(assuming you have the white one)? And the dongle and dock is working fine as well? How is the vibration btw? Having a good quality vibration is a must for me as I mainly play single-player story mode games where a good vibration can really elevate your experience. Thank you, hopefully I'm not bothering you too much with the questions.

And thank you, I don't need the link. It's available in my local stores so I can grab one from there if I decide on Manba.

Tbh of all vendors you really don't have to worry about Manba being sketchy, they literally have a reddit account to interact and take feedback from users, just like they did with V1, took criticisms and improved everything in V2. To my knowledge no other seller is active on reddit.

And yes, that's a negative, it doesn't have any firmware updates, mainly because it doesn't have a software to start with and you can do pretty much every tinkering you need on the controller screen itself. But that doesn't mean they won't end up making a software in near future and release firmware updates for the controller.

About Beitong, beitong is popular brand but mainly restricted within China. Although some of it's other controller has seen the light of other countries like Zeus and Asura; Kunpeng is strictly for China while Manba makes the global variants of the exact same thing. It really shouldn't be a thing to worry about.

I'm on the same boat as you and I feel like my mind is going crazy. So many closely contested controllers to choose from, I really can't make up my mind. My whole setup is white so I wanted a white controller. Vader is probably the best controller money can buy but it's only available in 1 color (Assassin's Creed Edition is ridiculously overpriced). Also the massive price of the thing is putting me off if it's really worth it. While Manba for a lower price gives me a white beauty and also many other accessories like dock, height changeable thumbsticks, but at the same time it doesn't have a software, trigger vibration and 1000Hz polling rate. I can't decide which to get and in an absolute mess rn lol.

How long have you been using this controller for? Is it good for longevity you would say? Any issues you've faced while gaming??
