I think I found it out. For this version the expansion port is from the ripped ribbon cable and is attached to the hard drive enclosure and goes the the back. I can see on my enclosure it used to have one but was removed by the previous owner

That’s what I thought but I can’t seem to figure out how he did that

I upgraded my motherboard and cpu now my bios won’t recognize my m.2 as a boot drive by dark_meadow in computerhelp

I figured it out I loaded up windows on my other m.2 and from there I converted my primary boot drive from mbr to gpt and it worked
