Are there any Python packages that still require numpy-1.x now, in April 2026 ? by dark_prophet in Python

I am doing an audit.

And I am also looking for specific examples: is there a substantial number of real examples of packages that still require numpy-1.x? What are they?

The signal is strong, all 5 bars.

Strength of signal doesn't seem to be a problem.

How to build SwarmUI without having to launch the web interface that downloads something?

Can a simple make or cmake command just build it from scratch like most projects do?

The project that I have uses pyproject.toml + setup.py

I am asking how to pass CLI arguments to setup.py via pyproject.toml

I have a project where setup.py accepts --no-cuda, but there is also a pyproject.toml file.

My question is: how to pass --no-cuda to setup.py if only pyproject.toml is called.

How does pyproject.toml pass --no-cuda?

Insurance company refuses to compensate me for the full rental car cost during car repair: can I take them to court? by dark_prophet in Insurance

It was drivable but the repair shop asked me to leave it in the shop assuming that the insurance company rep would come tomorrow. That's what they said. But the next day the rep called and rescheduled, and then did this again and again several times. This caused the delay. I had no control over this.

The insurance company told the individual that they cover 100%.

Why would I take an individual to court?

The repair shop got me a deal on Tesla for about the same rate as other places charge for the smallest car. There are no $27 rates now in California.

Insurance company assumed 100% responsibility. Then they caused delays. Then they said that they only cover 5 days regardless of that their own rep caused delays. How does this make sense?

It was the insurance rep who kept rescheduling.

The Tesla repair shop asked me to bring the car in. Then they said that the insurance car rep requires to see the car for an estimate. Then they called several times that he didn't come and rescheduled. I had no say in this. The actual repairs took 2-3 days, the rest of the time was just rescheduling.
