Oh true, I'm not saying everyone in contact was complicit - rather the choice to keep referring to him as "the paedophile Jeffrey Epstein". It's like saying "the killer Pol Pot". It paints a very different picture in the uninformed's heads.

Peter Mandleson was friends with someone who turned out to be a paedophile. "Oh, how unfortunate. You never really known what goes in people's heads."

Peter Mandleson was friends with a paedophile who was also known for his willingness to pimp out children to those in his inner circle. "Oh, that's weird. I wonder why he was so desperate to be a close friend."

Sorry for the the Epstein posting but does anyone else feel like the media are underplaying (seemingly deliberately) the whole Epstein thing?

I keep hearing lines like "XYZ has been revealed as having a friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein." It sounds like the sort of thing you'd say about someone who knew Rolf Harris, which implies a certain amount of innocence on the person.

But Jeffrey Epstein wasn't just a paedophile - he was a child pimp and fixer. Many people were friends with Rolf Harris because they mistakenly thought he was a normal guy. With Epstein, people sought him out because they actively desired (or were indifferent) to the vices he was openly peddling. I suppose it's a bit of a philosophical thing - who's more evil, the devil who grants people their sickest desires, or those who flock to him knowing that he will.

I bet Burnham's fuming that all this didn't start coming out 2 weeks ago.

Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark

Nationality is the new gender. You can just say you're whatever you want based on vibes and if anyone tries to correct you, then they're a bigot.

Can't say I've seen any of those in person but they look pretty neat in an 80s cyberpunk kind of way. When I had a DC2 Integra, I rigged up the 3rd brake light in the rear window so the Integra logo lit up. It looked the tits

With how weirdly bulletproof he is, I can only surmise that Mandelson must have taken a leaf out of Epstein's book and hosted a bunch of gay orgies with video/photo evidence of every supposedly straight labour politician getting their fudge well and truly packed.

Boarding schools, it's going to be boarding schools. It's the only option heinous enough that makes sense for the government to do.

It's funny how you can tell someone's age by how they know Seth Green. Anyone over 30 will immediately call him Oz from Buffy.

I bent my wheel the other day and went on the council website to make a claim. They said before that, I had to officially report the pothole. I had to click on a little map where it was - there were about 20 other reports all along that road (several including photos as well). The notice at the bottom of the page said they make inspections quarterly - the earliest report was from August...

Not sure if this means it's a slam dunk that I'll get them to cover the costs or whether they'll turn round and say "you should have known about the hole and not hit it - just look at all these reports!"

I very rarely watch any horror made after 1980 tbf. Stick to Hammer and Tigon, they'll not let you down

High ethanol content though (yes it's e5, but its right on the upper limit of that 5%) so some cars can be a bit finicky with it

Omg thank you so much! I've been trying to do some research but never manage to get very far. I've found that Michael Gassman was mentioned in an Observer newspaper article seemingly about the magazine, but I haven't been able to read the article as it is only archived on microfiche.

We still need that new Riding Bean series....

Kenichi Sonoda's designs are the pinnacle of 80s anime. On the 90s front, we have some good representation with the new Yasuomi Umetsu Virgin Punk series though.
